Lawn care kid
I bought this for my grandson and so glad I did!! The smile on his face was priceless when he realized he can make it move with a simple push of a button.I thought it would be to complicated for him to move beings he is only jyst turned 2,but he caught on quick! It goes fast enough for him but thank God not to fast! The mower is well made and sturdy to last him a long time also!! Fun little mower.
My son has been using this non stop. He really loves the how the mower "mows." It has the sound and fake little "blade" that spins in a protective cover. It's the perfect size for my son. He is currently 1 and my daughter that's 4 even uses it sometimes too. It's very easy to charge and the charge lasts a long time as well. Overall I'm very pleased with this ride on mower and my son absolutely loves it. No down side to this one at all.
Cute but should've gotten something a lil better
Very nice for my 2 year old. He cant quite understand to hold the button down and turning sterling wheel at same time but he is getting better. Doesn't go uphill very well, does not go on carpet or thick grass. I wish would've spent just a little extra and got a better one but this is ok for now. Sucks to charge under seat having to take seat off every time. Doesn't last but about an hour at longest. Have to charge almost every night and bring inside so it doesn't get ruined.
Cute mower for little ones
This is a cute mower. My grandson is 18 months and I think much over 2 1/2 yr. would be too small. It did not work well in our grass, or hard wood floors. Carpet would get better traction on the back wheels. Maybe different grass it might work, and not just spin its wheels. It is a finger button on the steering wheel that makes it go not a foot pedal. over all for the price it was worth it.
Neat little toy for our Grandson!
Best on super-flat ground and concrete
We've had the Mow & Go Lawn Mower for a few weeks now. It came preassembled and pretty easy to setup. It took a little work to figure out how to charge it, which requires removing the seat to get to the battery cables. The hardest part was actually removing the seat to connect the motor to the AC adapter. Unfortunately, they chose to use a plastic bolt to attach the seat and it sheared off the first time I tried to unscrew it (just a fraction of a turn, but the bolt was not easy to turn. I found it interesting that it comes with a plastic wrench for tightening the wheels, but it doesn't come with a screw driver to undo the seat... which is something that needs to be done more often to keep the battery charged (so make sure you own a screw driver). Without the bolt, the seat doesn't stay on which was pretty frustrating for my kiddo. We ended up duct taping it down which has worked out pretty well.
So, a full battery charge and duct taped seat accomplished, our kiddo took the Mow & Go Lawn Mower on the first drive. She was so excited! And she had a lot of fun. It's max speed is about 1.5 mph, so it's really manageable for a toddler. And it makes plenty of noise when it goes, making it feel like a real lawn mower.
We have a small concrete patio and sizeable grassy yard. The Mow & Go Lawn Mower drives well on the concrete patio. Though, it has a very very wide turning radius, so my kiddo is constantly getting out of the seat to reposition the Mow & Go Lawn Mower so that she can keep on driving.
Driving on the grass is a different matter. It doesn't handle any unevenness of the terrain well at all. And it can't go over sticks any larger than a twig. In short, it really isn't all terrain. Given that it's a 'lawn mower' we haven't been able to pretend to mow the lawn much. Our patio is perfectly manicured though.
If you have a large concrete patio, that's nice and level with even transitions, then your kiddo would be happy with the Mow & Go Lawn Mower. Otherwise, you may at least find it frustrating to watch them constantly getting out of their seat to clear the way for the Mow & Go Lawn Mower. They'll probably have a great time of it though. Short battery life
My child is really excited about tractors and things, so this Mow and Go Lawn Mower seemed like a fun toy. The design and colors are super fun and cute! It was easy to get of the box, which was nice. The battery needed to charge before she used it. When it was charged, she was only able to ride it for 30 minutes or so. I took it and put it back to charge for over 24 hours and tried it again. This time, we got maybe 45 minutes out of it? We have a paved driveway and it does ok on that but will barely go in the grass. Maneuvering the toy seems to be easy for her since it's a button. While driving it, she ran into my car and the plastic in the front of the toy cracked. She really enjoyed the “blade” and the way it looked like she was really mowing. It's probably not something that will last very long and I don't know that I would buy in the future. I was never able to get the battery to last very long at all, and that was pretty disappointing. NOT MUCH JUST SPINS WON'T EVEN MOVE IN THE HOUSE
Its so cute but the battery (once dead) would not recharge. My toddler is devastated.
