Well built for being Chinese manufacturing.
I've had the scooter approximately 4 months and have had no issues as a result of the manufacturer. My kids friend hit a curb and bent the front end but only the bolts bent, so replacing nearly every bolt it worked everything lined back up. The scooter does come with the battery cables disconnected, same with the front light and brake lights, this is very easy to clip together, at first I thought I had problems but realized the cable weren't connected, so all that was need was to lift up the floor and connect, this required no tools. You are required to put the seat on and put the handle bars up upon arrival this is also very easy if u have some intelligence, the scooter is heavier than I expected which may require and second person for unboxing and assembly. Now the performance is excellent, has good speed, tourque and the batteries have lasted my kids through entire days without charging however Manuel states to charge when finished using, this helps the life of the batteries. this scooter is heavy duty and pretty well built. The only matience was adjusting the brake when it arrived.
i'm about 245lbs, goes fast up or down hills
get your own tools. head lights are so bright they stop cars.... go around and tighten everything. not much info. on putting it together. I'm 73 and i love it, my wife says it goes fast. looks cool and no one else has one... be careful using the brake, not much pad there for hard braking, parts are like a 10 speed bike. 3 stars for lack of tools and inf, but i like it !
Buy at own risk
Received scooter with a MAJOR grinding noise from motor. Walmart customer service (extremely polite) put me in touch with the manufacturer. Several times they told me this is how it's "suppose to sound". After some back and forth, I told them I just purchasd a new motor and would install myself in lieu of having to return a 150 lbs box. The manufacturer essentially eluded to the fact if this solved the problem, they would reimburse me for the new motor (fair enough). Well, it did solve the problem! The original motor was not working properly whatsoever. When I again made contact with the manufacturer after the new motor was installed, and advised it had solved the problem (new motor on my dime), I literally received a "congratulations for doing it yourself", and to top it off "please give us a 5 star rating" .......then radio silence. If you can't trust a vendor when something goes wrong...that's all you really need to know. Yours might work great, hope it does, but if you do have problems, you've been warned. Strongly recommend buying another brand. Stay away from MotoTec equipment.
A trip down memory lane
I can't believe that in this day and age, this scooter uses 4 lead acid battery's. Not that it's mentioned in the ad. That is a lot of weight. Twice the weight of lithium battery's. Also, no mention of what the battery amperage is.
Garbage, and they won't service it.
Received product broken and was told the only thing I can do is fix it myself. Garbage quality control, most likely they don't even test these things before sending them out. MAKE SURE you can return it if you buy one, otherwise you'll be sitting on a thousand dollar pile of junk.
Waste of Money
Scooter was broken and wiring was disconnected in undercarriage when it was all supposed to be in working order. Emailed manufacturer and was told to read manual that only states "check connections". Buyer beware, I will be returning asap!
