    My daughters new favorite toy

My daughter received one of the add on packs for C-mas (from us) thinking it went with the regular monster high dolls. When she found out she couldn't use it...she went crazy looking for them. We read all of the reviews on other sites (most negative) so we weren't expecting much, but just in case, when we did find them, she used her money to purchase all of the sets. We were shocked, when we got them out, but in a good way. The dolls were well constructed and sturdy. I didn't expect that when you have to pull the pieces apart each time. The color differences really bothered me at first, but you would be amazed at how cute the dolls are that we came up with. Even other people comment on how cute they are. Now, the bad part. The hair actually wound up working pretty good to start with. The wigs are made like the LIV dolls (which I've read fit better than the MH wigs), so they have that annoying plastic peg. The longer you use them, the worse they fit. We've figured out to squeeze the head when you go to put it on, and it helps. Another thing is that the clothes are really cheaply made. The regular MH doll clothes are made well, and look good. These start coming apart after several good playing withs, and to be honest, there's just not much to them. As for the plastic pegs that hook the arms on, they worked well at first, but are starting to get weaker, and bend sometimes. I'm not sure how long they will wind up holding out. All in all, it's my daughters favorite toy. She's 12, and hasn't put them down in days. Even though I had my doubts, it's one purchase I don't regret.

Monster High slightly misleading but still good

My daughter loves these dolls. My niece first got a MH doll at Thanksgiving and I was a bit put off at first, they seem slightly "exposed and flirty" for young children. Needless to say, Santa brought some of the regular MH dolls for Christmas. This set came later for a birthday present, when every shelf in every store was empty of the dolls themselves. She loves it, the hairpiece itself doesn't stay on at all, and she's only had the doll for a few weeks. I know its been played with a lot, but she takes pretty good care of her toys and is pretty gentle with them. I was disappointed to learn that it only can make one doll at a time. The box showed two, but there is only one hairpiece and one torso. Not a bad price for all of the options you can create, but again, it is just one doll and the hairpiece will most likely end up glued in at our house. My daughter is 8.
Enough parts for almost 2 dolls. It only comes with one torso, so you are limited to only doing one doll at a time. However it comes with 4 sets of everything else. Frustrating for my daughter who wants to be able to play with both sets and having to store the extra miscellaneous parts.

    Cute idea!

My daughter loves this, though they are hard for a 5 year old to put together and take apart herself and the wig falls off a lot.....The shoes are pretty tough to put on/off as well. She has already broken one of the thigh parts of the leg because the post snapped off when she was trying to put it in the torso. Super glue didn't fix it =( but I did buy the other Create a Monster set, so she can just mix & match the leg parts...no big deal that one is missing. Monster High dolls break easily anyway. Also, you should get a little bag to keep all the parts in or they will end up lost- some are pretty small!
I would use this shipping method again.
