This was easy to set up. Got the app. The app does eat the battery on my iPhone if I watch for long. It's nice to be able to talk to the kids at home. Even check on the dogs. It notifies you thru the app of sound/motion. It also automatically records any motion or sound that activates it. Great little device! I'd like to get a couple more to add to the system!

Great camera for the price
Camera has done us well and probably saved are house from burning down. Thanks to being able to view it will you are gone.
This is a great camera especially for the price. The microphone function is pretty bad, so you can't really hear what is going on, it just sounds muffled. But if you are just needing it to be able to check up on your house, then it is great. I put one in my house first and like it so much that we bought another to mount in the garage to be able to check to see if we remembered to close the garage door, saving many trips back to the house to be sure. Now we can just pull it up on our phone. Also love that the base is magnetic, and a very strong one at that. For the price and image quality of this camera, you can't beat it. It feels very solid and very well-made also.
Great Value at $30 a pop!
I've had 6 of these installed outside under the eaves of my house for 5 years. They have held up in hot and cold weather. They do not get rained on directly but definitely get sprayed and misted being outside. Most cameras will not survive outdoors and are useless unless all you want is video of what's going on inside your home. I have Comcast internet so they connect to app flawlessly. Most folks think they can run WiFi cameras on slow internet well you can't so get good internet or no matter what camera you buy you won't have good connection. Shop around for a good 32GB micro sd card you can get them under $15 and you will be able to review video up to a week old. I don't waste my money on the cloud service!
Hardware Good. Software Bad
The cameras, once working seem very capable, and for the price are a real value. The software however leaves something to be desired. There are apps for PC, Android, and iOS. Being able to try each platform out I can say that some work better than others and they were all written by different people who never met each other. Android is probably the best, followed by iOS, with the PC being the worst. All the prompts are chinEnglish so it occasionally takes guess work figuring out what to do. One camera wouldn't initialize on my iOS, but worked on the Android. I still have yet to figure how to record, somehow I got 1/4 to record, but the other three either don't see the card in them, don't know what to do with it, or fail to record as programmed. Not for the novice.
Don't get it if you can't get better than 1.5 dsl. Been trying for years to get better Internet but nothing but promises from CenturyLink. Might work better if I more than one step above dialup.
Camera does not work good at night, it's very staticky so you can't see much. It doesn't always catch the motion when someone walks by or drives by. Very frustrating! I had one camera set up by a window and when it gets dark you can't see anything but the reflection of the lights on the window.
Not User Friendly
If you are not technology savvy this monitoring camera is not for you. I wound up returning these about two weeks after I purchased them because I couldn't get the app to connect to my android phone after it was downloaded on my phone. The one star is for the reasonable price, but I am going to bite the bullet and get a pricer unit.Sorry it didn't work for me I wanted it too really badly.
Won't connect to Internet
Not easy to set up and will not connect to my WiFi to work properly. I am fairly tech savvy and have even checked the Network channel my internet it on as they tell you to do in problem shooting. It is connected to the 2.4 Ghz as they recommend and still will not connect to the WiFi. It appears it basically always has to be plugged in and just seems cheap at this point.
