Judy Sierra, author of the award-winning bestseller Wild About Books, and J. Otto Seibold of Olive, the Other Reindeer fame use the familiar storybook character B(ig) B(ad) Wolf, who is now retired and residing at Villian Villa Senior Center, to create a funny original story. Very young children will delight in seeing this all-star cast of storybook characters--the three pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, the Gingerbread Boy, and others--interacting with B.B. Wolf in an entirely new, funny, and helpful story about knowing when to say "please," "thank you," and "excuse me." As she did in her E. B. White Read-Aloud Award winner Wild About Books, Judy Sierra has written a story that begs to be read aloud.

B.B. Wolf now lives in...

B.B. Wolf now lives in a Villain Villa Center. He gets an invitation to the library for storybook tea. He is at first hesitant but decides to go. When arriving all the other storybook characters are nervous and unsure of B.B. Wolf being there. In reality he turns out to be very polite. This is a great story to read when teaching manners. I love how storybook characters from other books are integrated into this book. The illustrations show the true emotion of all the other storybook characters.

B.B. Wolf got invited ...

B.B. Wolf got invited to a Tea Party at the Library and he started asking around to his friends whether or not he should go. He runs into one of his friends who is reading a book about Etiquette and makes up a song to help him remember. After he arrives at the party he forgets what to do when he burps so he raced to find the book and says excuse me before he burped and the Hostess told him to say it after and they all ended up having a good time.

The Big Bad Wolf, B.B....

The Big Bad Wolf, B.B. Wolf, is now older and more mature. He is trying to show everyone he really has changed. When he gets invited to a tea party, he gets to show off his new manners. This book was really cute and I like all the B.B. Wolf books. They all have a little lesson to be learned in them. This book would be used after learning about the original story of the big bad wolf and the three little pigs. This book would be a great way to teach manners. They could point out all the nice things that B.B. Wolf does and discuss some of the manners they were taught.

This fantasy book play...

This fantasy book plays off of the Big Bad Wolf's previous reputation as being without manners. It's a very cute book about attending a tea at the library and B.B. Wolf surprising everyone by behaving. Media: Adobe Illustrator
