Excellent bulb for the price! Uses 2.4Ghz WiFi band so you'll want to connect your phone to that WiFi signal from your router first if you don't want any hiccups while setting it up. Besides that, using their app was pretty easy. If your light isn't flashing rapidly when you turn it on, just turn it off and on quickly about 6-7 times and it should trigger the setup mode. It also helps if you have the light close to your router when setting it up. I had an issue with it not detecting the light that was in another room, but after setup we put it back in the room and it works great. Also works perfectly with Google Home/Assistant and Apple Home. Can turn off and on and dim and lighten from your phone or voice. It's only a week old, so no idea on how long it will last, but this is easily the best price point you'll find on a true WiFi bulb.

Merkury Innovations Dimmable White Smart A19 Light Bulb, 60W Equivalent, No Hub Required
Great inexpensive smart bulb
Super easy to setup and a great price. Works great with Alexa.
Hello Smart Home!
I love being able to control my living room lighting with the Geeni app and the Merkury Innvocations A19 Dimmable White Smart Light Bulb, 60W from my bedroom. I am always forgetting to turn them off, and who wants to get back out of a comfy bed when you remember the lights need to be turned off for the night.
Nice to have at night
This A19 60w dimmable smart light bulb by Merkury Innovations is easy to use and works great! I have it installed in my torchiere floor lamp on the living room so that if I'm still up and inner of my kids gets up, I can dim it quick and they won't be so wide awake like thet were with just the regular light bulb I had in there before. It does dim and brighten quickly with the geeni app also just like It does with Google home. It is still slightly brighter than what I was wanting but I think it has to do with the light facing upwards instead of down like with a regular lamp. The instructions were clear on how to set it up and also gave a second option in case the first option to set it up didn't work. I personally am not that tech savvy so having simple clear instructions was a big plus. Initially I had a small problem when trying to connect to my Google home app but I believe it was an error in the Google home and not the smart bulb because once I changed some things in my Google home app, it worked without a glitch. One thing about this bulb though is that even though it doesn't get hot on the actual bulb, the plastic part that is right below the bulb does get pretty hot after its been on a while. I wouldn't think this would be a problem normally though unless you wanted to change the bulb after it was lit for a while. I am really enjoying this smart bulb and am very glad I got it. I would definitely recommend this to others.
Wow what an awesome smart bulb for the price! This is my first time using a smart bulb. It was super easy to connect to my phone. Took less than 20 seconds! Now I can set a time for my lights, dim them and turn them on and off while in the house or out!! I would recommend to anyone looking for an easy to use quality smart bulb!
This smart light bulb is so easy to set up and use. It is the same size as a standard LED bulb. It can be controlled through the Geeni App or with works with voice controlled devices such as Google Home or Amazon Alexa. I recently had foot surgery and was confined to a recliner for a few days, including sleeping. I love how I was able to ask Alexa to turn on the lamp without having to maneuver my body in any uncomfortable way. I also really loved the dimming feature. At night I was able to keep the lamp on 1% without it being overly bright. My only complaint would be that even at 100% the bulb does not seem as bright as a regular LED 60 watt bulb, however since we are just using it in a side lamp, I am still very happy with it.
This was an ok smart bulb.
I have 2 Google Home Minis and 1 Google Hub, so connecting this was easy I had no problem with that. This bulb is only a 60 watt bulb that’s LED and that’s fine too, I like that I can aaak Google to dim the bulb. I also like the price of these Merkury Innovations A19 Smart Light Bulb. I purchased a “different brand of Hub\4 colored light bulbs over a year ago, so that is what I am sizing this Merkury Innovations A19 Smart Light Bulb 60W LED Dimmable against. I have had the “other brand” and Hub/bulbs “connected” for over a year now too, with no problems whatsoever. I can change the color to just about any color I want too, but the Merkury Smart light bulb can not do his. Both products can dim. I can purchase the “other brands” light bulb in a few different shapes and sizes, the Merkury Smart Bulb I don’t think they have other shapes or sizes(I’m not sure about this fact though). But over all I do like this Merkury Smart Light Bulb, it dims, it fits in “regular” sized light fixtures, I have it connected to my Google minis/hub, it doesn’t require a “hub” because it has built in WiFi, it was simple to connect, and so far I haven’t had any problems with it. If I do have any problems within he first three years of using this bulb I will put an update here on my review, but so far so good, nothing going wrong.
They got me.
It doesn't say anywhere on the package that it won't work with a 5Ghz network, something about it not penetrating walls. yada yada. Anyway, it is nothing more than a $6 led bulb as far as I'm now concerned.
Dim and dull colors
The phrase 'you get what you pay for' is very true at least when it comes to smart bulbs. When used for regular warm white lighting they're bright but for any other RGB color or daylight, forget it. They probably used cheaper dimmer colored LEDs for costs. The bulb was easy to link with my Google Home account but that's where its benefits end. I included photos of it (right side) compared to my better LIFX smart bulb of the same 75W equivalent output (left side). I tested, Red( and all other colors) and warm white. It's brightness only excelled or was equivalent with the warm white.
