I bought this knife to slice up breads with thick crusts, and it did not disappoint. Instead of sawing mightily to get the slice going, this knife bit in immediately, cut through to the bottom with ease, and only took one extra pull to get through the bottom crust. The knife is sharp and feels well balanced. It does exactly what I hoped for, and I am most pleased with my purchase.
