I got my husband a pair of these Drew Aarons about 2-1/2 years ago after purchasing a pair of Drews for myself to use while working our on our treadmill. Mine were so darn superior to the inexpensive athletic shoes I'd previously purchased (I don't wear this type of shoe except when exercising so I figured no need to spend for a better pair) that I figured with his virtually flat feet, they would be great for him. He loved them even though he thought he would have trouble getting used to the included orthotics. I convinced him to leave both of them in, as they'd make his very bad back feel a lot better if he walked a lot or had to stand up for long periods of time. By the second wearing, he was singing their praises. Fast forward to the present and I figured he could use a new pair and move those to secondary status -- you know the times when you might wash the car, work in the yard or wear them on a horrible rainy day when you just KNOW you're going to end up stepping in a big gutter full of water. I was tickled to find the Aaron still available on Shoes.com, as no one else was still carrying this model. When he slipped the new ones on a week or so ago, he was in heaven all over again. He's receiving cancer treatment in addition to treatment for other maladies (like stenosis of the spine), and often has to walk long distances in the hospital where he gets treatment and undergoes tons of scans, x-rays and MRIs. Comfortable shoes with great orthotics really helps him get through long days and endure less back pain that day and the day following those long walks. I'm tempted to come back and buy another pair right now, while I can still get them. Got a nice price on them, too, by using a 30% off coupon I got from Shoes.com. Super selection, decent prices and quick shipping makes me always come back here when I'm shopping for shoes. It's also sweet they carry a multitude of sizes and widths, too -- great for the 6'4" guy whose shoes enter the room a half second before he does!
