90 Day Warranty - No Wonder

What a piece of garbage! I, too should have read the reviews before buying. It's as if products are becoming less and less durable. The CD player stopped playing CD's after 3 months (hence the 90 day warranty - I believe the company knows how long its products will last - then issue that as its warranty). Before the CD player stopped working altogether, random CD's would stop in the middle of playing and produce either a loud clicking noise or a VERY loud screech. My mom uses (or should I say useD) this player to help her fall asleep using soft mood music. What a nice way to wake up within 5 minutes of falling asleep with that clicking/screech noise - not to mention having to reach for the off button in the middle of sleep. Foreign made or not, this unit is a piece of trash, and should be taken off the shelves.

    worthless

Absolutely horrible I hooked up my mp3 player expecting this thing to sound better than 20 year old pc desktop speakers. And there is no bass at all...NONE If you buy this you will just be spending gas money to return it. I am blown away how worthless this thing is. I joined the website just to warn you! there is no options for tweaking the sound just volume.

    Horrible boombox

This product is horrible! Yes,it is economicial, but do yourself a favor and spend a little extra to get one that does work. Radio catches few stations, CD player, starting skipping on cd's within a month.

    I use it every day!

Other reviews are not so good, but I use this boombox every day when I'm making dinner/cleaning up for a few months now, and I've never had a problem with it. It plays my CDs perfectly and I love the hookup to my MP3 player. I had a little trouble at first with the sound, but after about 30 seconds of tweaking, my hubby and I had it all fixed up. I think it's a GREAT product ESPECIALLY for the money.

Wish I read the reviews first...

I saw this at a store and bought it since it has an aux input. I wanted to hook up my phone/mp3 player to it. All I can say is wow.... the sound is just indescribably horrific. It is really tinny and just sounds cheap. It is going back to the store tomorrow and I hopefully the store I go to (which is different from where I bought it from a few towns over) will have another option. This is a dud :( I keep thinking of the the old commercials "Is it live or is it Memorex" and man, this fell so short.... if this is what Memorex sounds like, it is best to stick with a Sony lol

Great Boombox for the past 2 years!

I bought this boombox for my baby's nursery (he is now 2) and it's been working great ever since! I did discover that sometimes you have to try the CD more than one time to make them work, but in the end, it's never stopped working and we use it every single day for nap time and play time! it even plays burned CD's! I can also plug my mp3 player! It's small, functional and perfect for the kid's room.

    Cheep

From the moment I turned this on I new I needed to return it. The sound was cheep, it had no bass. Don't wast your time with this.

    Maybe I got lucky

Considering all the negative reviews, maybe I just got lucky with the one I have. I've been using it regularly for long enough now so that I don't remember when I bought it. It has good sound for an economy CD player, and it plays commercial and home-made CDs without problems. If I hadn't knocked mine off my desk, more than once, unfortunately, I wouldn't be shopping for a new one--but there you go. Maybe mine has lasted longer because I put it in one place and didn't drag it around with me, but I've been happy with mine, and I'm probably going to get another one if I can.

    Low quality

As mentioned by another reviewer, the sound quality of this radio is probably about what one should expect for $22...Not good and no equalizer to adjust....Also, it was difficult to determine what radio station was tuned in using the dial. Radio reception was not good. I did not use the cd or cassette players, so I can not comment on those options....I plan to return the radio.

    SAVE YOUR MONEY

MP3 aux jack doesn't work. I tried several MP3 players and an iPod Nano as well as several cords which all worked elsewhere. This is the second Memorex product I have purchased from Wal Mart which didn't work. No More!!!! It will take another 159 mile drive to return it which I don't make very often. The 90-day warranty will be up before I get back there. CD player works and the radio works on batteries as well as plugged into an outlet. Not a happy customer.
