This palette offers 12 shades in matte, satin and glitter and it's a great set for a beginner or an make up expert alike. You can use the shades of the palette as duos, trios or quads, depending by the look you want to achieve. When I opened it I realized that the matte browns could be actually used as brow shapers (no need to buy a brow shaping kit!) and, using an angled brush (not provided in the set), I applied them to my brows. The result was great and it lasted all day! I also used the light shadow as a highlighter under the brows and the effect was very clean and polished. Then I chose three shades to use: a glittery taupe one for my lid, a matte brown for the crease and outside corner and a satin beige for the inner corner of my eyes. I added my own brown pencil and mascara and I loved the result! I was finally able to achieve a smoky eye using a single palette. The look lasted all day without smudging or loosing pigment and I didn't used an eyelid primer. I was afraid of the glittery shades but they really have a fine glitter which is not too over the top and blends well with the other shadows. The two-sides applicator worked for me but you might need more applicators or brushes to play with these shades and achieve different looks. I just wish the palette would come with a mirror inside. A good palette overall!

I absolutely love the Myabelline New York Rock Nudes eye shadow palette, it's so good I've already recommended it to my friends. I like the color combinations that it offers. I love that on the back it offers a few tips on how to combine the colors, whether you want two color combination, three or even four different color combination on your eye lid, that is one of the things that makes it perfect for newbies, or for girls like me that just struggle to find the right match or color combination when it comes to eye shadow. I've been using it for about 2 weeks and the color stays on all day long, even with a stressful job and three kids to drain my energy after work, the color doesn't fade away. Also it doesn't get clumpy like other shadows I've used before, the colors are very rich and they blend in perfectly. I even use it as my lower eyeliner and I don't worry about it coming off or smearing all over at all. I'll definitely continue buying this brand. And at night time it comes off right away with my cleansing wipes, I wipe away once and it's gone, no need to scrub your eyes at all.

Rocking eyes day or night this is one great compact. Rocking Nudes have flat colors as well as glittered in great shades. The colors are buildable. You can make your eyes more natural for daytime or a little more dramatic to full smokey glittrr. I am not good at putting on make-up but I do like color. The compact has a long ergonomic applicator that is double ended. I threw my other compacts away. ..the ones that the cors b look the same..or no matter how much you put on it stays the same. This is nice too that all the eye color you will ever need is right in one case. A really great product ! The photo I posted with the eyeshadow was mainly for color. If it looks good on a 62 yr old woman just think how great it would look on eyelids that aren't wrinkled! LOL

I was so excited to get something for just me! This palette is large considering there is only 12 colors. I took several days to try out each color and some lasted longer than others did. The matte ones seemed to last longer than the sparkly ones. The sparkly colors creased making a line and came off the rest so it definitely looked stupid. This comes with a sponge applicator that has 4 sides. I used that and my brush to experiment putting on the different colors to see if they lasted longer with one or the other. I cried and exercised (I know that sounds stupid) to see if the eye shadow lasted during normal situations and the matte colors always won. (By the way, you look hideous when crying while wearing this makeup!) I only gave it four stars since I was super disappointed in the sparkly colors. I loved the matte brown. It looked very flattering and "natural". The only thing I wish this had was a mirror. It was big enough for one.
