maxicosi Disappointed

I am very upset about this car seat when I seen them online I went crazy over the teal one I ended up getting the black one it was perfect in the winter, but when summer came it was horrible the hood does not stay up or down its bad my daughter cries when it falls on her face literally and then plus the sun is there to making her cry hoods are made to block the sun am I correct ppl I'm always in the back with her so I know everything that's going on with my baby n her carseat... Idk know what I'm going to do go with another company next car seat n I wanted alllllll my seats to come from this brand its sad one thing had to ruin it for all the others... And as a single mom buying a pretty expensive car seat shows myself I love my child n I want her safe along with everyone else on here that posted its about our babies and having the best for them n for there saftey.

Not very happy :(

I was so excited when i bought this carseat for my babygirl. Ive usually stuck with graco when it comes to infant carseats but inhad heard such good things about this brand and it looked so nice that i said "what the heck shes my last baby lets try something new!" But boy do i regret it. She is barely 2 months old and hardly fits! She is so snug and looks so uncomfortable in it and everytime i pull her out shes a sweaty mess! Its so sad on how much i spent on it and now i dread going anywhere because my poor baby is just so unhappy in it. Ive had to borrow a convertible carseat from my sister when i know we will be going on long trips just so she can be happy. I was excited to move her up to the Pria but now i dont think we will since the AP was such a disappointment.

Expectations not Met

Oh how I wanted this car seat so bad ! I researched for months and went ahead and decided on the Micro Ap Precious Pink (LOVED). Beautiful! However my daughter was born in late February and just a week or two ago notice a tear in the canapy how could this happen? She's a newborn we are not doing anything abnormal or sorry not being rough at all. Fresh she barely goes anywhere. I'm very unhappy because I was not too please with the lil bit of force to use the canopy in the first place but for the tubing to be coming out after I praised this car seat to my friends very unhappy. I planned on investing in the next step up but I'm having second thoughts I'm very unhappy Maxi Cosci very Unhappy

Beautiful, high-quality, easy to use.

Our family has used this for over 3 months, from NB @ 9 lbs 21.5" to ~17 lbs and 27". Since our almost 4 month old will soon be too long for this seat, we wondered if we should have purchased Pria 70 from the start, however we LOVE the stroller compatibility and we didn't know our newborn would be over 7 lbs.. We chose the bohemian blue color set and are so happy with it. It's easy to use and our baby loves the stripey canopy. We have had no problems with canopy-easy to remove and to put back on seat. We will buy maxi cosi pria 70 for our next size car seat (shopping now!) Oh, we've had only one issue: this one is too large to fit behind either driver or passenger side in our 2004 Camry with one of us in front seat-we are both over 5'7".. It works perfectly in the center of the backseat and the grandparents can ride alongside the baby. They love it! It fits well behind the seats in our Prius and 2001 Civic, even though these are small cars. The straps adjust easily and the release for the adjustments is intuitively located right on the front. Most importantly for us as newbie parents was feeling we could bring our son home safely and venture out in those precious first weeks. We loved reading tons of positive reviews from other parents and knowing we had chosen the best after extensive research.

We bought this car seat for my daughter who is 6 months old. Although we bought it 6 months ago but we were travelling for 2 months and the car seat has only been used for 4 months! It has been more than a month that the canopy stays loose and now the part that canopy attaches to the car seat is broken! I am a person that really takes care of our stuff and am gentle with everything. I have no idea why this happen. Where we live is really sunny and I need to use the canopy, but now I can't! we cannot afford to buy another cars eat within 6 months of our child's birth. I am very very disappointed with this product and expect Maxi-Cosi to replace this for us!

Expectations Not Met

I bought this seat a little over 3months ago, and although I did so much research before making the purchase I have to say I am extremely unhappy.. I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but every time I try to strap my daughter in one Side of the hardness gets Tighter than the other side, which is horrible because one side is snug, & the other is still loose Which means she is not strapped in properly, I then have to completely take her out of the seat flip the seat over & try to pull the strap on the bottom to even it out, I wanted to love this seat and for the price Was expecting better quality! I must say I am really annoyed that I constantly have to do this every couple of days. Over the weekend I went to Buy buy baby "not. For this same reason" but I'd figure since I was in the store I could ask the associate, which he was very nice & ask me to bring the seat in so he could look at it, he played around with the straps and agreed that one side was definitely tightening more than the other when pulled, he said about 1/2" difference , unfortunately because it has been more than 90 days I can't exchange my seat! He said I might be able to get new straps sent in if I contacted maxi cosi directly.. But I don't know that I want to keep this seat anymore, I've never had this issue with my last car seat! I am very upset and will be calling Maxi cosi to put in a claim..

Lightweight, Exceptional Quality!

We received this car seat as a gift and we could not be happier with it! It's beautiful, lightweight, easy to maneuver and so simple to use. Transferring in and out of the car is much easier than previous carseats I have used. Installation (by our local police department!) was "easy and totally straightforward", according to the officers who installed it for us! We are just at the stage of transitioning into the convertible carseat (we chose the Maxi Cosi Pria 70!), and will be happy to use our infant seat again when baby #2 joins us down the line!

Love this seat however...

I spent a long time looking at several different high end infant seats and decided on the Mico AP because of the way it looked and it was the lightest one in terms of weight. I actually like the canopy being flimsy! My only disappointment was the material seemed to snag/come off into little balls. not sure how an infant could be doing this, but it was only happening wear his feet would be. Anyhow, my son is close to outgrowing this seat so I'm currently looking at the Pria 85, nordstroms exclusive. Hoping I do not run in to the same problem.

All that we expected!

Haven't had any problems at all. Super easy to clean the one time I have had to and the fabric is super soft. Our baby gets so hot so fast and so it's nice that we can put him in the seat in just a diaper and not worry about the material being harsh on his skin. Also super pumped on how light the seat is because he's growing so fast. We get compliments on it really often too. So it's nice to have a seat that's not only super safe, but also stylish since we're lugging it around!

Happy Baby

My little girl loves this seat. She has survived 6 separate 8 hour road trips to visit in laws (with stretch/change/eat stops but without crying) in her first 4 months of life! I keep hearing about my friends' babies HATING their car seats. My only complaint is durability (purely cosmetic---we use it a lot) and ease of use with the belt tightener--I have had to re-thread it a few times. But honestly-this was a really great purchase. I highly recommend!
