Fun game to continue on the Mario Party series. The only thing is ensure you have WII Remotes, as you will need them to play. Only Bowser mode uses the GamePad.

Not as Fun as older versions
Previously I have played the game cube version in which it is player vs player rounding the board and trying to earn coins to get stars. In this version, all players are on a shared train and everyone advances with each roll of the die. Instead of playing mini games after each complete turn, you have to land on certain spaces. There are no coins to collect, and stars are handed out by simply paying certain spaces to whatever player rolled the die that turn. This game does not feel like you are competing against the other players, and does not seem to have as many options as the game cube version. I am disappointed in the gameplay and would return it if I could. If you are looking for an experience similar to the game cube, this is not it.

Another great Mario party game

It's not like the previous Mario party games where you all travel separately, but I'm learning to like it. They have an amiibo party mode that kind of fixes that. Overall great game and love the amiibo

For children 4-7 ? Yes - the rest of us - EHHHH

I know - I know! Mario is supposed to be for kids, but lets face it, If you can't be a competitive adult what left? From a long-time Nintendo / Mario fan this game really disappoints. It leaves you feeling like "I wish I had rented this game at Redbox before spending the $45!" It's a one and done game!
3 Stars for the kids - 1 star for the adults who like to play games like this!

what a waste.

Don't waste the money if you don't own two regular wii remotes. The WiiU game pad will only work with bowser mode, and will ALWAYS be forced to be bowser.

1. It's different. It will be exclusive to the bundle at first, but probably eventually come out separate.

2. It is different with the same chip, but if you use Mario in Super Smash Bros, and want to use it for Mario party 10 u have to erase the ssb data. So, you can only use one amiibo per game if it saves to it.

3. OK, it is a different model of mario but has the exact same functionality as the other mario that is already released. So they both register just as mario, no differentiation. The only released this one so you can have 2 that are distinguishable and you don't have to lose your smash bros info to play mario party 10.
