Light review

I've had these lights up for years. I recently had to replace one due to hail damage. I've got them directed at the house with a light sensor. The sensor allows for 2, 4, 6 hour operation. They cast a soft warm light and make the house look great from the street at night. The only down side I can think of was something I discovered during installation. This uses a low voltage system and you can choose to put the lights anywhere on the power cord you want. If the distance between the plug-in and the lights is too great, they won't work. My guess would be attenuation of the line current over distance. I tunneled under my entry walkway shortening the distance by 15 feet and they work great. Hint: When you install them, put some lubricant on the lens screws. If not, they seize and will shear when you need to replace a bulb.
