I was looking for a mirror to fit between the scones in our 2' wide powder room on the first floor of our home which was built in 1865. I didn't want anything that looked too modern and didn't want to spend a fortune. This baroque mirror was perfect. I read many reviews that said it was cheap looking and it was. Matte white paint would have been a better choice than gloss. I Googled how to paint a mirror frame. It's just newspaper and painter's tape. When I rook the newspaper off, I had some whitechnical spots. To fix this, wearing gloves and working in a well-ventilated area, I sprayed the paint into a plastic cup. I had to work quickly because the paint dries fast. I touched up the white areas using a flat artist brush. I got some on the mirror so I gently scraped it off using an Exacto knife with a flat blade. You can see the results. It doesn't look like a $25 mirror. I love it!
