    Very poor quality
It came with missing pieces and took a long time to put together. The drawer is made of cheap materials and we immediately began to have problems. The drawer would not align, and the bottom would not fit completely. Making it useless. The back piece was not black like the rest of the desk, and neither was the strip which is directly above it - I used black electrical tape to cover it.

    Perfect Vanity

Needed a vanity for a small space and this was perfect. It ended up being my pro makeup artist station. Love it. I did get a piece of plexiglass for the top so makeup liquids wouldn't damage it. For the price...get it! Very sturdy! Holds my Hollywood style huge mirror with lights!

    Using as a Vanity

I bought this because I was wanting a vanity. I already had a mirror and for a simple table/desk everyone wanted way to much even browsing Craigslist people are crazy with what they want for a simple table. I knew I would be painting this... the black it comes in is ok but not my taste. So I painted it a metallic silver to match accerssories in my bedroom. I love how it came out. Its perfect for a vanity and as lots of space to do my make-up and lots of room for writing ect. Cute Sturdy little desk. My husband didn't like putting it together, but thats what men are for :) lol. It would make a cute sofa table or entry table also. Happy with purchase.

    Pretty table!!

We bought this table as a "sofa table" because we had a bare wall and something needed to go there and we found this at our local walmart and it it was perfect! It only took my husband about an hour to put it together and he really has never put anything together like this. All the pieces went on correctly and the table is very sturdy. We plan to decorate it a different way, these pictures were right after he assembled it and I just wanted you reviewers to get a better idea of how big it is and what it looks like! :) Overall I'm very satisfied with this table!!

    Great value, beautiful, simple

I needed a simple writing desk with a modern and clean look. Found this and decided to give it a try ... Definitely glad I got it. I built it in about an hour by myself. It's not that hard to put together. I don't have any issues with the drawer sticking but I wish it came with a handle that wasn't plastic, though, for $40 what do you expect? I think I'll be getting a second one to use as a console table.

    Wonderful little desk!

I bought this writing table to use as a place to set up my laptop. There's room enough for it, a small lamp, 2 small PC speakers, a mug of pens/pencils, my mouse & pad, even my mug warmer and cup of coffee, with plenty of space leftover for jotting notes, thumbing through my log book, or any other light task. The drawer glides in and out smoothly and quietly, and has plenty of space for my notecards & envelopes & postage stamps, notepads, a few pens, a bottle of white-out, flash drives, USB lamp, sticky notes, and other small items. I'm quite content with this desk! It sits next to my bed in a wall corner, so it doubles as my bedside table. I absolutely love my writing table!

    simple and cute

simple and cute, which is what i wanted. you have to assemble it yourself, but it's not difficult. all you need is a screwdriver and hammer. i will be purchasing the black saddle seat stool that sits a little lower so i don't have to lean over while i'm working. i'm happy with all the furniture pieces i've purchased from walmart (bed, bookshelves, desk). assembling them was worth it for their prices.

    Makeup Artist Vanity

Love this table the size is perfect and the ease of putting it together was wonderful,as I'm no builder. It's not as tall as I thought it would be when I first got it all set up. However, after finding the perfect chair I'm in love all over again. The price tag led me to think it was going to be one of those buy, try, and return and look around again. But nope that was not the case here. Before dropping $149 on the Ikea Malam table I'm glad I gave this a try 1st.

    Desk for my girl!

I do think this desk is great! It was pretty simple for me to put together by myself. However, I did end up putting the top of the desk on backwards. Simple solution instead of taking it apart was to spray paint the one edge black! Total user error. I think this desk will work well for my 5 year old daughter. It comes with a small drawer in the front. The only problem is that the desk corner chipped off almost immediately.

    1. Oh no, don't purchase this for a fish tank. It will never hold up.
    by Chelle1967
    2. i would not try this it is not waterproof
    by wj30
    3. No sure but I am using with a laptop.I think it would sag in the middle with anything heavy like a fish tank.I saw one photo with it sagging in the middle from most likely a desktop. This is meant only for lightweight stuff that why it is labeled a writing table as in pen and pad and a coffee cup...Fish tank...NO
    by StarMoon
    4. Don't recommend for a fish tank, it' to light. I like it because it is easy to move.
    by Bossydawn
    5. Not a good idea ... Not with this desk. Not made for that kind of weight, plus made of compressed wood...
    by DefMonk
    6. I don't think that's a good idea. You should use something that was made for a fish tank or higher quality furniture. This desk looks nice but would not stand up to much weight on top or many years of use.
    by Missag1212
    7. 40# i think
    by TroutbuminPA
    8. I would NOT try to support 29 gallons of water with this desk. It is not made for that kind of weight.
    by cmsakira
    9. No. This table will never hold 232 lbs. of water, which is how heavy 29 gallons of water is @ 8lbs/gal. Definitely do not use this for a tank filled with water. I would say, 25 to 30 lbs. would be a maximum weight before it becomes way too top heavy.
    by Canopyfan2
    10. Overall the table is steady, and withstands the weight of my 5 year old putting her body weight against is when she is leaning on it, but over time I think the screws may loosen a bit so I wouldn't chance it.
    by clorany
    11. I wouldn't put such a heavy item on this table.

    12. i would not advise using this.

    8. no, it's not. And missing a back brace.

    1. I recently purchased this table for my studio to act as a coffee bar. In my opinion it cannot handle 150 pounds - as your title asks. However, it can handle a 20 pound fish tank no worries. I'd suggest placing some plastic under it or some form of waterproof buffer, maybe even clear contact paper on the top so the water doesn't make the press wood buckle which it will do. But as for 150 pounds, no way. I wouldn't stand on it for anything. I think it would crumble under that weight considering it it only held in with less than a dozen screws. I used weldbond glue on all the joints, screw holes and places where the pressed board touched for added strength and it worked big time! However, I wouldn't trust this table to hold more than a large lamp, laptop computer and few nick-nacks. Hope this helps! If you're looking for that kind of weight I'd suggest looking for real wood.

    2. I have this desk and I would not recommend it for something that heavy. The desk is lightweight particleboard and has no resistance to moisture. Also, the desktop is just under 40" long- the extra length in the given measurements is due to the angle of the legs. Hope this helps.
    by gftorain
    3. I believe so. Try putting 20 lbs. of potatoes on first!
    by snook50
    4. I don't think so, I think it says how much weight to put on it in the product details
    by sisma
    5. You would have to probably reinforce with a couple braces under the table-top. Its a very sturdy desk, but that may be at the max capacity.
    by DaPhysicist
    6. I don't think so and I would recommend putting anything wet on this wood.
    by All23
    7. 150 lbs is pushing the limits. Because the legs are designed at an angle, any lateral motion is going to put an incredible amount of stress on the joints. Think holding a dumbbell with your arms extended. As a mechanical engineer, I would not recommend this table for heavy loads.
    by PeeAmEss
    8. The assembly sheet says that it can hold 40lbs so unless you want to downgrade to a fish bowl, you might want to pick up a different table.
    by adubalva
    9. No way!
