    Paper towel substitute
These are huge! Approx 28"x28". I am transitioning away from paper towels and thought I would give them a try. They are soft and very absorbent. I keep them in a basket on the counter to grab when needed. Considering making eight napkins out of two of them for the table. And they are washable/reusable. Will pay for themselves quickly.

    Cheap Dish Towels
Dimensions online were wrong and when I got them they were smaller then it said.

    Great Dish Towels

My favorite ‘dish towels’ at a great price. Super absorbent and no lint left behind. Just what my grandmother used. HEADS UP: DO NOT USE DRYER SHEETS OR FABRIC SOFTENER ON THESE OR THEY WILL REPEL WATER INSTEAD OF ABSORBING.

Using for extra absorbency for cloth diapers

I had an issue with absorbency with the microfiber inserts on the cloth diapers I was using as they were constantly leaking. Another person suggested folding these towels up as flats are folded and putting them inside the pocket diapers and they have worked GREAT!! No more leaks here! (I would suggest washing and drying with no detergent at least 3-4 times or so to have them shrink a bit, plus it gets the weave tighter for first use) VERY pleased at how well they work and they are less expensive than getting additional microfiber inserts that may/may not have worked.

I have a lot of these for multi-use purposes

These are my favorite towels that walmart sells. I use them to cover my bread dough for rising. I use them to polish the copper bottoms of my pans with bar keepers friend. I use them to polish silverware. Simply put, I use them for various polishing. I use them as dust cloth. I use them to absorb water and for drying dishes. I use them some times to dry glasses, as they are excellent for water spot removal. I use them like a buffer on some of my finer dishes to remove smears, fingerprints, etc. I use them as cleaning clothes when cleaning sinks, walls, mirrors, and windows. They last a long time and I appreciate they are solid white, easy wash, easy to bleach, and they are also a great size.

    Good Towels

I've bought new kitchen towels again and again for ten years now trying to find anything acceptable, with no luck. Finally looked for the old fashioned flour sacks, bought these, and am happy at last. The material is not the true flour sack material I grew up with and used for 65 (!) years, but they are the best thing my husband and I have finally found for our kitchen. I crocheted the two sides that wanted to crumple so I don't have to iron them, and we are very pleased.

    Flour Sack towels

Great price and perfect for my embroidery projects.

Flour r sack tea towels are the bomb

These are thin but absorb wonderful and launder well. Making some gifts

    Great diapers

My daughter uses these on my grand-daughter. She says they make the best diapers... So I will keep buying them :)

    Great for diapers!

Someone suggested I try these out instead of Gerber Prefolds to use in pocket cloth diapers. I wasn't sure when I got them, but after I started using them, I was impressed! If youre considering for diaper use, I recommend highly. They are a little bulky, but great for my heavy wetter & can easily be trimmed down. My educated guess would be these for everything kitchen wise as well!

    flour sack towels

I have used these for quite some time. They're great for drying dishes, hands, and even cleaning glass and mirrors, dusting, etc. I love that they wash and dry so easily and quickly. After using, I simply hang to dry on the oven door handle or lay over the top of the dishes in the drain rack. This purchase was for My son, Who loves to cook and needed a few things for His apartment kitchen. These are a good value, and are priced fair enough that when time comes to replace them, it's not a strain on any budget. I've also researched and found many cloth diapering parents use these to cloth diaper babies. I know some embroiders use flour sack towels for embroidery work, but I don't know how these would fair for using to embroider. I haven't compared this brand to others in person, but I have price compared to other brands online. These do seem to be just a smidgen thinner than those My Grandmother used, but not so much so that I wouldn't use or recommend to others. Simply, a budget friendly and good buy. They do hold up for a long time. I've owned My own for a couple of years with very little wear being visible. Don't be fooled by the thinness of the material. These work SURPRISINGLY well. I hope My honest review helps others to try these. Have a Great Day!

    1. No they are not gauzy, think soft well worn sheets or diapers of another generation.
    by veryniceguy
    2. This product is made to be very absorbent and durable. It's made of 100% cotton.
    by CommunityAnswer
    3. they are not gauzy yet do not have the weight of typical kitchen towels. They are quite absorbent and have a very good lint free drying capacity.
    by indiankey
    4. I do not find them to be gauzy. I think they are great towels.
    by Sybo
    5. I wouldn't call them "gauzy" (not like cheesecloth), but these ARE a rather looser weave than other floursack towels I already have. If you are looking for a basic, absorbent dishtowel for drying hands and dishes, these are a great value for the price. If you are looking for other uses and you need a tight weave, these may not be it.
    by aedenrivers
    6. The thread count has decreased to the point that they are almost like cheesecloth or gauzy as another post shared. Very disappointed with last purchase.
    by CoolNitesPreferred
    7. They didn't used to be gauzy but they have changed the quality considerably and are now "gauzy" is exactly what I'd call them.

    1. They are made from 100% cotton. You can bleach 100% cotton, but they will wear out faster. As with any material, the more you bleach, the faster it will wear out.
    by SDRS
    2. I bleach mine, but bleaching them wears them out faster.you could also try the Blueing them..You can find it with laundry soaps, just make sure you only use a few drops and make sure it is mixed in water good before putting towels in ,or you will get blue spots everywhere..It brightens them up some if used correctly

    3. I bleach them.

    6. Yes, wash mine in the whites load.
