Good quality and fair price

The stools look great. They were packed well and easy to assemble. It definitely added a more contemporary look to my semi classic kitchen. I just wish they were priced as low as the same style Mainstay's taller 29” stools, but still a really good price compared to other retailers.

Easiest Assembly Ever!

These Mainstays Metal Bar-Height Stools are so easy to assemble. Taking them out of the box and wrapping is more time consuming than actual assemble. All that needs to be done in order to assemble is attach the seat. Each stool comes with a pack of 4 screws and a hexagon tool. I tighten the screws almost to the max in order for a strong durable fit of the seat. The seat is very durable. I have the black and they look very nice with most any thing, any where. One thing I truly like about these is the metal is not welded except for the cross bars. Take a strong look at the images and you will see the metal is all one piece on each side! The metal is strong and durable, NOT thin aluminum....NO bending. The cross bars are strong also. There is little tabs that you can't really see in the images at the bottom four corners of each stool. No rocking, they sit flush to the floor. The seats have a wood grain finish. They are 30 inches Tall, 16 and 1/8 inches from front to back sides, and 17 and 5/16 inches across the front and across the back. Very sleek and modern. Weight limit per stool is 264 pounds.

Simplicity at its best.

Sleek, shiny, and black. Packed/ship well, box manageable by this oldster. Says each stool weighs little over 8 lbs. Impressed with how well stools are wrapped - legs all with styro, seats with bubble - protects every inch. Easy together, 4 bolts, w/hex included - to attach seats - your done. Black seating has a slight woodgrain finish - shiny - says made of plywood, seems much more solid. The black powder coated iron metal frame gives a shiny richness at 1st sight. Overall measurements 17"W at floor, 12"W frame that holds seat, seat 17"W x 12"D. - foot rests 12" from floor front/back. Overall height 30" - which is standard - curved seat gave me a sense of being higher than other 30" stools I have sat on before - felt like "a real bar" stool. These stools conveniently store under kitchen oasis or counter. The instructions said weight limit of 264 lbs. Me not close to that - did sit on them and wiggle a little right to left, just to sense stability - no problem. Stool bases have plastic pads to protect floors. Indoor only use is suggested, other safety suggestions - don't tip while sitting - don't use as ladder. If have little ones - would certainly keep in mind that they might look inviting to climb. These are so streamline, basic design, startling black stand out, though fit/use almost anywhere, makes me think of "shabby chic". So simple, so dramatic!!!
