Swing fine, canopy is JUNK!

I haven't even had this for a year and it's already garbage. The canopy is torn, doesn't stay in place, and has faded even with me using a cover. The swing itself and the cushions are fine, but because the canopy is such a poor design and product, I wish I hadn't bought this. All four corners of the canopy have large tears, along with one curious rip in the right center. The swing sits fairly protected inside a fence, next to my house and is nowhere near mature trees so the only thing causing the tears has to be the wind. I expected to get more than a year out of this product, for the price I paid. NOPE.

The canopy part of the swing does not fit.... It has not fit since the day we got it. We have it placed on the top, but not attached b/c it doesn't fit. I tried to go to the store and get another one, but same thing... The canopy part has velcro around it and it is suppose to overlap around the bar for the top to stay on.. Well it does not make it that far. Also whenever there is a good wind it blows the swing right on over. The top also does not stay put. Whenever the wind blows it changes positions. Ive had this for a yea though and everything else is still awesome.

  • A. Yes, they are separate seats. One,by one, by one. They have a velcro strap that attaches to the back of the frame. I guess to keep them from blowing away in a storm.

  • A. I use my swing without the canopy. I use the cover to lay over the swing to keep birds from pooping on the swing. Put the extra parts in the attic.

  • A. The canopy attaches to the main frame via two palm-sized hand knobs. You can remove it if you unscrew these knobs.

  • A. Canopy can be removed. However it is attached via a large frame, therefore would be difficult to take on and off frequently due to size.

  • A. The canopy is removable and does not have to be attached in order for the swing to work properly. Peege2

  • A. You don't have to put the canopy on. It has a part attached to the frame that goes with the canopy. If you don't mind it being there. It's a half of a sphere with small serated teeth that attach to the dial knob that allows you to change the position of the canopy.

  • A. the swing would work just fine without the canopy. my kids couldn't wait to try it out, so they used it for a bit before we got the canopy on! the canopy itself has nothing to do with the structure of the swing itself.

  • A. Nice. I would describe as unfolding to a platform bed. It has a leg that extends to support the back, but we have been keeping the leg folded to let the entire bed swing.

  • A. It's very comfortable as a swing. Ackward as a hammock, as too short for most people. We use daily as swing, never as hammock.
