The lids aren't super sturdy, but if I'm freezing a casserole, I pop it in for a while so it's partially frozen and then add the lids on, and they work well for that.

Always making enchiladas for neighbors %26 friends, that are moving, sick members, lots of activities, or perhaps unfortunately a death in the family and these are just great to use for that purpose. They have a plastic see-thru lid and you do need to be very careful of the center bottom, so I use my Walmart cutting boards and take a Walmart sack of Tapatío Sauce and fresh Daisy Sour Cream. I feel blessed to be able to do it and they do appreciate it since the large pans hold 8 enchiladas.
