I have had this product set up for about 3 weeks. It is positioned flush against a bedroom wall with no support on either side and is filled with mainly dress shoes that I do not necessarily access every day. So far, I have not experienced any issues with bowing or wobbling. As long as I am not tripping over or kicking it, it does fine. I am considering ordering a second to stack on top as I have quite a few more shoes that need a home. It may not be the most aesthetically-pleasing shoe rack, but it works for what I need.

Not only did my shoe rack arrive within 2 days, but it was exactly what I needed! I was able to track it online, which was quite exciting. The assembly was simple and quick. I used a hammer to tap everything together on a hard floor. The shoe rack is very stable!! The design is appealing in my closet and keeps it organized. The price couldn't be beat for the number of shoes that it holds. I have 18 pairs of shoes on it, so I guess it's time to continue (shoe) shopping! I will probably purchase another one very soon. Apparently the cat was quite impressed, too~

I would not buy this shoe rack for its appearance, but it is great for closets! The main criticism has been that it is not strong, not stable and falls apart. I was disappointed at first as well. However, the key is in the assembly. You need to hammer the pipes THROUGH the holes, until the plastic inside the hole comes out on the other side. It is not obvious, but that would make it very strong and stable. I bought it because it fits almost exactly into my closet, which has uneven walls. By controlling how deep each pipe goes inside the plastic, I was able to fit it exactly. It gave it even more stability. If you need it to be even more narrow, you can actually cut the pipes to get the width you need. You can also build them taller / wider by adding more racks on top or at the side. So, if you are comfortable with some very basic tools and need to customize the width (to match your closet walls), this is a perfect product.

The best part about the shoe rack is that I was finally able to get my shoes out of a pile on the bottom of my closet floor. The assembly process is kind-of tricky as the poles kept popping out of the sockets even after I hammered them in. It took a bit of synchronizing to keep the poles in the socket as I hammered other poles in. My advice is to hammer the ends as hard as you can and hold the poles in place as much as you can as you hammer the other side in. Make sure to hammer in the poles hard (as hard as you can, seriously hard) when you place them in the socket and once again re-hammer all the poles in place when your rack is complete to really secure it. This keeps the rack from being wobbly. By the end the rack was very stable. The shoe rack looks great. It's still up and stable. It actually holds more than 20 pairs of my shoes size 6. I am happy with how my closet looks - Neat and organized and I have more space on my closet floor to store other things. For the price the rack is doing it's job.

I bought this shoe rack, even though others gave a poor review, because I desperately needed organization in my life concerning my shoes. I was not disappointed. I was elated, as one customer said for the price paid it is great. I recommend that you follow instructions when assembling any structure before you give it a bad review. The fault could lie in your inadequate skills of assembly.

I want a shoe rack that has enough space for my 4-6 inch high heel shoes. That is all I wear and I am trying to get organized.

    • A. Tasha 106 If you still feel iffy, I have two shoe racks from here. one is on the floor and my good high heels are in a hanging bag two different ones (103 shoes ) The first is the over the door nag with little pockets your shoes fit great the heels are facing out so they do NOT get damages And, the third one is hanging on the pole in the closet on the end and is made for sweater or something, it is a little bigger, but I can put shoes in their box the really good ones with their name on the box and a bag to match with it. Or I can put purses in a whole one on it's own it works great. they stay clean, no dust no scratches and you can see your purses. For the little one that goes over the door you can put that inside the closet with the grommet holes and nails or hooks And in it I put belts and scarfs and flip flops or odd accessories that I wear all the time and need to put away or pull out fast. Your saving item that special belt that works with everything etc. Enjoy all the closet products do a ton of things.

    • A. I would not recommend this for heels unless you were thinking of adding something to make it a solid shelf. To use this for heels as is, you would have to put the heels hanging off the back of the metal rods that are the shelves for this product.

    • A. It does hold high heels, you need to alternate each row for the higher heels. If you have platform shoes you may only get 4 pair per row instead of 5.

    • A. The slats in the rows are pretty small. Sometimes the heels of my high heels will get caught in between the slats, but I can't imagine a child's pair of shoes would be small enough to slide through. Also, the tiers sit flat, instead of angled, so the shoes sit comfortably withought sliding.
