    After only one use rusted!

This is the worst cook wear I have purchased! I used one to boil a potato and it's rusted in the bottom. First time I've used it! Buyers beware, you get what you pay for! I can't even return it or exchange it because I threw out the packaging! This is horrible. I've only used one pot. But don't even feel like using the other ones. The one I used only once is rusted on the inside. Will never buy again! What a waste of money.

The price of this cookware set was great--I was pricing stainless steel pans in my Wal-Mart store and the price of one sauce pan was almost as much money as this whole set. The 8.5 inch frying pan is large enough to fit two hamburger patties in at the same time, although it is significantly smaller than a 10 or 12 inch pan. It is also a little shallow so I recommend not trying to make spaghetti sauce in it. The largest pan is great for boiling pasta or anything else and really easy to store. My only complaints about the set are that the glass lids are a little too fragile for my household and I would have preferred stainless steel ones; and that the cooking utensils don't have comfortable handles. I can't truthfully say how durable this set is since I've only been using it a week but it does seem comparable to my old, much used cookware. I would definitely recommend this set for anyone who either, like myself, desperately needed a number of new pans to replace old ones or someone who is just starting a household and needs a variety of cookware. This set can meet most of ones daily cooking needs.

I bought this pan set as a bachelor setting up a kitchen for the first time. I'm on a budget so I had to shop. I found this pan set online at the Walmart site and have been using it quite a bit since buying. Here are the pros and cons from my perspective. Pros: This is a nice size set for cooking for a couple of people or small family; Nice looking and reasonably easy to clean; Cons: A little light weight and can burn the food if you are not careful. You need to be careful because the pans are thin and heat quickly.

I bought this unassuming little stainless steel cookware set on a whim last January. While shopping at my local Walmart, I happened across the cookware aisle. I "suddenly" remembered that I needed to replace my ten-year-old high-end cookware set, which had long since begun to wear out. This set looked nice, but having had bad experiences with budget-priced cookware in the past (try a handle falling off of a pot full of boiling water on the way to the sink--ouch), I was hesitant to take a gamble on these. I talked myself into taking the plunge because I didn't have hundreds to spend on a high-end set at the moment, and the price on these was very reasonable. I thought to myself, "these will probably fall apart in a matter of months, but they're so inexpensive that even if I only get a few weeks of use out of these, it gives me time to budget for a 'real' set." So yes, I purchased this set with low expectations. Fast forward six months, and this set has far exceeded my expectations. I love cooking with it, and my husband does too. This set has restored my trust in budget-friendly cookware! This cookware is very sturdy and durable--the pots and pans clean up easily, and the handles and lids show no signs of loosening or deterioration despite daily use. Even though these aren't hundred-dollar pots, I have no qualms about carrying a pot of boiling pasta to the sink for draining. I do wish that the set came with a larger frying/saute pan, but that's a minor issue. Obviously, this isn't a restaurant quality set, but frankly, most people don't need industrial-strength cookware in the home. If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy this set, I can assure you it's an excellent value, and I'd buy it all over again!

I bought this set b/c I don't like non-stick cooking pans, but I had not tried stainless steel and am nervous about spending a lot of $$ w/out knowing what I want. I did not expect much from this set--just to be able to cook food and be able to clean up decently. I am pleased. I've had my set for almost 3 months and it does a really good job. Especially for the price! I don't expect this set to last for decades, but so far I haven't had any durability issues. The welds on the handles have me nervous--but even if this set only holds up for a year--it is worth it for 30 bucks! I cook everyday for our family of 5, so we will definitely get our money's worth! The features are ok--nothing absolutely fantastic, but good. The handles do get a little warm when cooking--so just be aware. Not hot like you need a hot pad--but warm. I also never cook in them over a 7 on my electric stove. So it takes a bit longer to get the food cooking, but that's ok. They look good--a decent looking set and are easy to keep clean--little hot soapy water and every once in awhile I might have to use an SOS pad for stuck on stuff. But decent and much better than non-stick pans I've used in the past. I would recommend this product if you are just looking for a basic set of pots and pans to cook your food evenly. Know going into it that you may have to replace it in the next couple of years and you will be satisfied.

Came nicely packed and intact. good substance to bottoms. Handles are welded and body a bit light but excellent for the price and they cook well. Cleans easy even with burned on food - but need to soak with soapy water overnight. Use non-abrasive scrubber or you will scratch surface.

I purchased these for a vacation home, thinking I'm not going to cook that much, so why spend a lot of money on cookware. Well, I was wrong--I'm cooking there all the time, and am there almost full-time. I've had the set for about one year now and it's held up beautifully. Nice, light-weight, nice-looking, cooks evenly, sturdy, and higher quality than I expected. Pots and pans clean up very well. My vacation home has a lot of iron in the water, which has damaged non-stainless steel cookware. No problem with this set. I do need to clean/polish the inside once a month with a non-abrasive cleanser such as Bar Keepers Friend or Cameo for stainless steel. Makes them look like brand new. Only wish it had a larger frying pan! The rest of the set is perfectly sized. Would definitely buy again.

I bought the set just before Thanksgiving, and it arrived just afterward. The shipping from site to store took about a week, which was to be expected, and to my surprise, I discovered the cookware to be triple boxed. Yes, the retail box contained yet another box containing the cookware. Guess it doesn't take much to impress me, but that extensive packaging guarantees that unless the main box looks like it's been through a trash compactor, your cookware won't have so much as a ding. It came with carefully polished cooking utensils, one solid spoon, one slotted, and one spatula. At first glance, one would think they would scratch up the cookware, but they were carefully machined to prevent any such damage. Another plus is the fact that there are no easily broken plastic handles in the cookware itself or the lids. Everything is stainless steel, and the grips on the lids are screwed in place. The handles on the pots themselves are tack welded, however, and appear to require rather gentle handling, as the welds do not appear to be very strong. Took off a star across the board for this fact and the fact that the steel used in the construction is very thin and discoloration of the bottoms has already begun. Overall, the set is a very good buy for people who are just starting out, and will certainly last the few years it takes to get out of college and/or get on one's feet and get a better set. For the price, only cast iron cookware is superior, but unless one owns the old school coil burner stoves, cast iron would not be advisable.

I bought this set with low expectations and they were exceeded! Needed an "Everyday" set of basic cookware that was Induction compatible. The main components of this set work fine on my Portable Induction Cook Top. I was worried once I received the item that the very light weight compared to my Premium Clad Cookware would be an issue. Not to worry..it works fine. The time it takes to heat vs my premium cookware actually seems to be faster! The polished finish looks good. I've only got 2-3 months on this Cookware but it seems to holding up well. Positive? Price! handles on the 5 Qt stay cool while cooking (better than some of my premium cookware) Downside? The 5 quart saucepan has open rolled handles. When placed open face down in the dishwasher the handles collect water. Very minor gripe. Overall...I'd recommend this to anyone I know.

    • A. These handles are made with high quality stainless steel, but may have a tendency to get warm - depending on the amount of heat that is used when cooking. To protect your hands from the heat, we recommend using an oven mitt when handling hot cookware.

    • A. Generally, yes they are cool enough without a mitt. Sometimes they do get kind of warm but not like burning hot. Hasn't been a problem for me. I recommend hand washing these with Barkeeper's Friend and drying right away to keep the appearance like new. I've had these for 15 months now and they still look and perform great.

    • A. In my opinion it is lighter. I have some Wolfgang Puck stainless steel pots and pans and they are great but very heavy. These are easy to manage but the performance is still good as long as you follow the suggested cooking and cleaning directions. I've had mine for 10 months and it still looks good and performs well.
