    Great Idea!
I bought this item for my Patio Door, I was sceptical due to some negative reviews. I ended up giving it a try, since we had so many bugs coming into our home. I have to say that it was super easy to install, and the magnets are strong enough to click right back to close position. I am going back to getting another one for my front door. It seems to be made pretty well, but even if it only lasts us one summer, I'd be glad to get another next summer, it certainly beats having flies and mosqitos bugging the living daylight out of us...We like the product!

    Excellent

Works great for us. Handle with care and it will be ok.

    Wonderful!

I put this on our RV door. It was a little too wide and long, but I was able to alter it very easily. I just cut off the extra width, and resewed on the edging. For the length, I did the same, just being careful of the magnet placement. I am so happy with it! I have a pen outside and like the dogs to be able to go in and out without my having to open the door. Now the bugs can't come in and the dogs can come and go as they please! It works equally well for both our big and little dogs. The grandkids love it to!

Better than other mesh screen doors

I have used mesh screen gizmos for as long as I have had dogs because I would much rather have them "free run", instead of being a slave to the door. First of all, to save yourself many headaches with the velcro strips that come unglued, pull away from the mesh, etc...Just haul out your fancy staple gun and staple the screen up. It takes no more than five minutes and you can shorten the length as much as you need to, and taken in the width by rolling the mesh and then stapling it to the exterior door frame. Love it, and yes the magnets are strong and you hear "click, click, click, click" each and every time you enter or exit the screen.

    Magic Mesh

We bought the Magic Mesh because the wind kept catching our screen door and ripping it off the hinges. Magic Mesh was easy to install and the kids like it because it closes behind them. The only things I see wrong with it is when there was a wind coming straight into it ,it blows open and if you have a metal front door it will clamp onto it when you come thru. Other then that we love it!

    Good Price, Works Well

My only complaint is this screen is not resize-able. It is 3" wider than my back door and the supplied hook and loop self-stick strips do not adhere well to stucco. You can see my thumb tack modifications. The screen works as advertised and if it keeps my home bug-free for even one summer I will consider it well worth the price.

    Cheap, tears extreamly easily

When I put it up, the net tore several places and had to be reinforced with duct tape. It is coming apart at the seems. The little nails that came with it are too flimsey to go into anything except drywall. Very cheaply made! But I finally got it up and now it works fairly well. Hopefully mine was a fluke but (it kind of looks like their sewing machine missed a major seem at the factory).

    majic mesh

with in the frist day most of the closers fell off and broke but the screen is fine (so much for keeping the flys out)

Very cheap. Magnetic pieces didn't line up. It didn't close fully after someone walked through it. Only had for 24 hours and a magnet fell out. Netting came with a hole in it.

    crushed hopes

The first one I got, the seem was ripped before I opened it. I stitched it up. Before the day was done, a whole section pretty much unraveled. I took it back to the store for a replacement. The second one made it through the weekend, which I suppose was worth the price. I was really excited about a long term screen tho.

    1. It is not strong enough to keep a cat inside. I would also imagin the cat would claw at it which would open it up.
    by FamilyManP
    2. No, this is specifically made for ANYONE to walk through-including pets. The mesh should stand up to cat climbing though.
    by Viper67
    3. No. My kittens jumped on it, climbed it, walked right through it.
    by 42carma
    4. I doubt it
    by stillbugged
    5. I would not think it would work. It is flimsy and if the kitten can get over the doggy gate, she could definitely get through this. The magnets open at slightest breeze on my door. I think a fly could push it open :) I would recommend a larger pet gate or 1/2 door for your washroom. This could prevent your pets from entering. You could make your own from an inexpensive hollow core door, cutting to height you want and using expandable spray sealant to fill cut surface to prevent dust/ spiders etc from getting into open space inside door. Another option is behavior training with spray bottle of water. Cats can jump over and onto most anything if they are allowed. (I had one that could jump onto top of fridge and then get up onto top of cabinets where I could not reach him.) It would only take 1-2 days of spraying with water whenever she climbs up the door to change her behavior.

    6. No, a kitten would figure it out quickly. They have a tendency to want to climb & this isn't for kitten fun. Besides the screen doesn't adhere to the floor so he'd learn quickly to just go under if not through.
    by ToniSlioness
    7. I have 2 miniature dachshunds who easily go in and out through the screen, so it is probably not going to restrain a kitten.
    by knitforfun
    8. Won't work for that. The bottom of the panels is free flowing and could be pushed open easily by a pet.
    by lostindelaware
    9. No. This will not keep out a dog or cat from entering a room. The magnets pull apart when the wind blows so you can imagine if a dog or cat walks up to it .
    by EsroB
    10. No this would not keep any type animal from going thru it. The magnets are not that strong on this.
    by 18wheelerlady
    11. no way both will go thru or under door

    3. No, just the one. But with tax here in WA state, it only comes to $16.16. I am sure when ordering on the website, they make up for the free one with shipping and handling fees-just like everything else.
    by Viper67
    4. I got one Magic Mesh for aprx $15. I don't know that I've seen the ad on tv. I learned about this on TIME.com in an article about items seen on tv that work as they say they will. Linked from that article was a YouTube video.
    by Just4fun91
    5. No, just one, but look on their official website, its 19.95 for two that it doesn't even include shipping, you have to pay for 2 shipping, one for the one you buy and the other one that is free.
    by Shalemie
    6. You get 2 panels which make 1 door.
    by jjcm
    7. No only needed one.
    by clownchik
    8. Yes
    by wlmtisexpensive
    9. no
    by stillbugged
    10. No, only one comes in the box. If you order online to get two you pay much more because of the shipping and handling fees.
    by FamilyManP
    11. No, but when you buy 2 on tv, because of S&H, you end of paying for 2.

    1. The entire thing gets attached to the door frame with special thumb tacks
    by CastleFarms
    2. with push pins
    by lillal
    3. it comes with Velcro but I use the tacks that come with it
    by TTown63
    4. attaches with adhesive velcro strips as well as heavy duty thumb tacks. I wouldn't think the strips by themselves would be enough to hold the weight of the curtain, and the tacks or "pins" will leave small holes in anything they're attached to. You could possibly add more velcro to eliminate the pins.
    by Smee68
    5. This product is connected to the door frame by velcro on the sides and top.
    by CommunityAnswer
    6. It has velcro strips to hang with first then black plastic thumbtacks to nail down with permenantly. You can't hit them with a hammer very hard or they will crack very easily. Just gentle taps. It will leave tiny little holes in your doorframe though which you can cover over if you decide to take the screen down later.

    7. With velcro and push pins that comes with it.
    by bgrissom
    8. Velcro Strips on top and sides.
