MSI 342C QD-OLED: Best Ultrawide monitor to date

Loving the newly released MSI QD-OLED 342C Monitor! PROS: (A) 2x Standard-size HDMI 2.1 ports making 3440 x 1440 @ 175Hz %26 RGB 4:4:4 12 Bit color NATIVE (no DSC/Compression needed). Unlike Samsung Electronics' G8 QD-OLED with the odd Micro HDMI 2.1/mini-DP ports, or Dell's Alienware QD-OLED lineup with only HDMI 2.0. (B) PBP/PIP/KVM function, and 65W USB-C DisplayPort 1.4 alt port. (C) Brighter than W-OLED monitors by a decent margin. (D) Glossy Screen so text is quite clearer than the grainy look of W-OLED Matte Screens (E) And of course, the inky blacks that come with being an OLED monitor. Gaming on this is an absolute dream CONS: (A) There is a greyish tint to the screen that only happens if you shine light directly in front of the screen. Can barely see it if there is overhead lights, or natural sunlight not pointing directly at the screen. And in dimly lit room, no grey tint at all. (B) Bottom bezel is quite abit thicker than I would like for it to be, but certainly not a deal breaker. (C) For those that want to wall mount, a 100x100 wall mount plate is recommended due to the recess nature of the 100x100 VESA screw holes, and the wall mount plate wasn't included in the package (male-female extension screws were though). Would've been nice to be included for the price. At the time of this review, very hard to find to purchase, let alone at retail price! Bottom line: if you are currently looking for an ultrawide monitor, this is the one to get (if you can find it).

Now, I will only be Buying QD-OLED.

Moving from a 32" 1440 took a minute to get used to this. But, once you look at it, use it, play with it. It's really is the ideal monitor. Could be a little bigger, from height adjustment to still missing the taller height of 32" which, I now know is a little too big and squashed at the same time. With Ultrawide you can have more content horizontally while getting the perfect 16.9 or 21.9 aspects of any video or job within a screen with more actual, practical and sensible space. And About the QD-OLED. Okay, look. This panel is FAR better than any IPS, VA, TN or those NANO IPS with MIniLeds. Oled is Perfect, added in the Quantum-Dot... Everything from my living room TV, office TV, Bedroom, etc. ARE Crap now.. Crap. So, chance of Burn In? Yeah, this monitor wants you to have dark mode, auto-hide task bar, no desktop short cuts and force you to allow it to care for the OLED every 4hrs. . . So, this Monitor will Suck for remote call-center working. But, for content it is the best. If a few years it shows issues, then I'll replace it with the new one of the time. There is nothing Wrong with the Monitor. Get used to not having to rely on height as everything is more centered with more room to breath on the sides. The only CON I can think of really is this stage of OLED, with it comes a whole lot more attention and consideration. Always be prepared to stretch your legs, get something to eat, play with the house puppies every few hours. But, even in most of the worst conditions, it shouldn't perm-burn until a few years. And, by then you can replace it with a better generation. 4 Stars only for it being so young and good. So, far - Perfect. We'll see.
