I really love this modem And it's quick it's fast and it's really easy to set up I recommend everyone who needs a faster Internet connection to Go to Cox. I do realize that it is a lot of money sometimes but if you just need an Internet connection have a tech come out to set it up because there were things I didn't even know you could be having the same issue. The tech guys that came out to install our Internet did a wonderful job.

Smooth Install, Works Great
Nice! Setup was fairly easy with Comcast. Hooked it up and had to call a Comcast number, they sent out a signal and provisioned the modem, up and running!
This or Arris SB8200
I chose this over the Arris SB8200. The throughput was the same but the latency was 2-3 milliseconds less. I just felt that the Motorola was a better made product.
Happy with new cable modem
Easy setup, much quicker download speed and the instructions made it simple to connect with no interruption in internet service.
Very easy set-up and easy to determine what the lights mean and what hook-ups are for what. Hardest part was activation by provider company.
So far so good
Averaging 350 mb downstream and 30 mb upstream with Comcast 300 mb account.
Save the rental fees Great modem
Easy to set up and runs at speed provided by cox, great customer support.
Easy to install.
Installed in minutes. Came right up thru Comcast. Have had no problems.
Wave Cable said that I don't need a Ferrari
The Modem is really tall. I'd prefer a smaller modem. At the time of writing this review, I have only had the modem for about a week now. You have to call your Cable provider and give them the Mac Address (number) from the label on the bottom of the modem before it will work with your cable service. After I did that, the modem had no trouble connecting to the internet. It's pretty much plug and play. The cable representative told me that he thought it was overkill. He likened it to buying a Ferrari and only driving it 55 MPH because I only have a 100 mbps down stream plan. He said that their company (Wave Cable) dropped this particular modem from their list of approved high speed modems because of many of their customers experiencing frequent random disconnects using this modem. So far, I haven't experienced that, but as I said, I've only had it for one week, now. Time will tell. I'm considering upgrading to the 1 gig down stream plan to find out if this Ferrari will really do 1 gig.
Motorola MB8600 Cable Modem currently working Okay
Upgraded from Netgear C6220 Modem/Router which couldn't run for 30 mins before tripping out Sling wireless TV signal via a ROKU unit thru COX. Current new setup is combined w a new Netgear Nighthawk X4S-AC2600 Router. TV runs longer now but still lost (tripped) the Wireless Internet signal (TV says Internet signal lost) after 1.5+ hrs of running even though new Modem lights still indicated a valid connection. Restored wireless Internet by resetting (power) Modem to bring TV back within about 2 mins. Haven't had this Modem very long so still too early to truly evaluate but Walmart wants a quick eval. Giving 4 Stars now but that could easily change in the future.
