5 Ways to De-Germ the Heart of Your Home
For most families, the kitchen is the hub of the home. It's the place where everyone gathers for meals, conversation, homework sessions, and crafts. With all that traffic, it's essential to keep the space as clean and healthy as possible.

Tip #1 - Taming the trash can
Use a can with a lid, and sprinkle baking soda or kitty litter (or place a dryer sheet) in the bottom under the bag to conquer smells.

Tip #2 - Decontaminating counters and stovetops
Greasy spills and cross-contaminations are the top germ culprits for flat kitchen surfaces. The key is to swipe up grime, liquids, and food residue quickly, before they have a chance to present a bacterial threat.

Tip #3 - Little things, big germ catchers
Some sneaky sources of germs include drawer handles and knobs, sink faucets, can openers, countertop appliances, knife blocks, tops of cabinets, and dishwasher doors.

Tip #4 - The raw deal on food
To prevent cross-contamination, keep raw foods away from pre-packaged and prepared foods. Start while you're shopping - separate raw meat, poultry, and seafood from the rest of the items in your cart.

Tip #5 - Save the sink for last
As you're cleaning the kitchen, you're likely to deposit waste liquids and crumbs down the sink, and to run water for rinsing. The kitchen sink should be the last thing you clean.

Took the stink out of hockey equipment
This product is the answer to a problem that I have had for years: how to get the funk out of my husband's hockey equipment. We tried washing it with all different kinds of detergents, additives, stain removers, you name it and nothing seem to work. I tried are drying, drying out a laundry line in the sun, everything I could think of and it still ended up smelling terrible. It would come out of the wash seeming clean but by the time it was dry that terrible smell would come back. The very first time we tried this product it actually worked! I couldn't believe how clean his stuff came out and it didn't seem to damage the athletic fabric at all. the freshness of one use of this product last through multiple games and I haven't had to reuse it yet although I guarantee you I will use this whole bottle and then more during the course of this season. This product totally knocked it out of the park and I will absolutely use this again. I don't know what you would need a laundry sanitizer for in terms of every day stuff but for sporting equipment this is the thing that you need. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not convienant to use
I purchased this product thinking I would use it on my colored under ware to get rid of bacteria. First, if I would have been able to read the instructions I would not have bothered. Second, when I finally got the little "peel here" sticker open it was very hard to read and not enough information. Finally, once I was able to read the instructions I find that I would need to add it to the rinse cycle and let it set for 15 or 16 minutes before continuing with the load. This procedure is very inconvenient. My washer is in the basement so I don't know when the cycles change. I wanted something to throw in with my detergent to get my colored under ware as clean as my whites. I guess now I will go with Clorox for colors to get rid of any remaining bacteria on my under ware that plan soap powder does not remove.

I have ben looking for a laundry sanitizer for a long while and finally found it on *jet. works great! "#sweepstakes" [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Product

This sanitizer is wonderful and removes any residual odors from sweat. I highly recommend this product for sweaty clothes, bed sheets, etc. However, you need to add the recommended dose because if you try to use less, it is not as effective.

Love this! Great for germy clothes!

This is perfect for little kids or seniors who have accidents, and also perfect for germy clothes (like when you go out to movie theatre seats or are in hospitals or around sick people and want to make sure you kill ALL germs on your clothes when you wash them). I love this product !! Germ count afterwards is nil ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great product

Bleachless sanitizer works really well

1. My bottle does not say when to add it so, I add it to the wash cycle. Once the germs are dead, it shouldn't matter. The wash smells fine after rinsing.
by SR398
2. Supposed to be added to a "16 minute" rinse cycle, or rinse compartment of washer. I have no idea how long my rinse cycle is...nor do I want my clothes smelling of this. Though the instructions here say don't add to first cycle (not sure why) with detergent, that's what I've been doing. Old school way of disinfecting laundry was adding Pine sol to wash cycle. Paying more for this! Not sure the bacteria in cold water would care in what cycle they're dying...
by Neva
3. We wait til wash cycle stops and use it in an additional rinse cycle.
by Omiki76
4. The instructions state it is safe for HE washers. It states to put 2 capfuls into the softener dispenser or direct into the tub during rinse cycle.. NOT the wash cycle( which would make more sense to me) .....let sit once mixed in for 16 minutes to sanitize ( this is same instructions for regular washers as well on the bottle peel up label) . Since I use fabric softener I placed directly on the clothes once the water had filled and then "unpaused" for a few seconds for the product to mix and then paused it again for the 16 minutes. This is a lot of trouble BUT if you/your family have some really nasty stomach or flu bug/illness it is worth the few extra steps. Also maybe be good to do this to socks and underwear every now and then to kill bacteria which causes odors. Like another reviewer stated the old way was to add the regular lysol to your clothes during the wash cycle, that may be cheaper but I dont know how that would do in an HE Washer so I use this as it states it is safe for HE.

5. I believe it does because all odors leave...just mix some with your wash
by Diana
6. Supposed to be added to the rinse cycle. You can find that in the product description.
