Miles "Pudge" Halter is abandoning his safe-okay, "boring"-life. Fascinated by the last words of famous people, Pudge leaves for boarding school to seek what a dying Rabelais called the "Great Perhaps."
Pudge becomes encircled by friends whose lives are everything but safe and boring. Their nucleus is razor-sharp, sexy, and self-destructive Alaska, who has perfected the arts of pranking and evading school rules. Pudge falls impossibly in love. When tragedy strikes the close-knit group, it is only in coming face-to-face with death that Pudge discovers the value of living and loving unconditionally.
John Green's stunning debut marks the arrival of a stand-out new voice in young adult fiction.

I feel the book is great for any age to read. I bought the book for my daughter because she heard it was a good book. So now she is sharing it with her friends and her teachers. So I believe I made a good purchase, thanks for having the book in your store.

In the novel Looking for Alaska by John Green, one may find an intriguing pull to discover the events before and after Miles Halter’s arrival at Culver Creek Boarding School. John Green throws in unexpected twists and turns while incorporating an interesting friendly-love relationship. If you’re looking for a "Great Perhaps" just as the characters in this story, then I highly recommend Looking for Alaska. When readers enter the world of Culver Creek with Miles (or "Pudge”), they will meet his new roommate Chip (the Colonel) and the destructive but beautiful Alaska Young. These two unique people uproot Pudge from his dull, solitary life in which he obsesses over famous last words, and into their exotic, anything-but-boring lifestyle. He learns how to be “cool," let go, and just have fun with his not so average teenage friends. Pudge’s new companions take him on a ride full of ups and downs totally distinct to his usual lifestyle, and this ride will compel you to read on. As Pudge, the Colonel, and Alaska delve into new adventures and challenge the rules the excitement amplifies. Pudge’s experience has been one huge journey into the unknown until an unforeseen event occurs. Forever turned around are the lives of the students at Culver Creek, especially Pudge's. You can't rewind the past, but you can amble along with the present, and out of the labyrinth alongside Chip and Pudge in the forever heart-touching novel Looking for Alaska. If you have read and enjoyed other books by John Green then Looking for Alaska might be yet another novel for you. As you unravel the words in each of his stories your mind will open up to his astonishing work that will create your very own personal experience. Some other popular books written by John Green include; Paper Towns, The Fault in Our Stars, An Abundance of Katherines, and more. If you decide to read any of Green’s remarkable books, Looking for Alaska is a very favorable starter and may as well be on your list.
