Easy to take care of
Could afford that "french" cookware, lodge was the prefect alternative for me, 5 big ol' stars. All I have to do is keep baking soda on hand for easy clean up.
I ORDERED THIS CASSEROLE IN THE BLUE, WHICH IS A REALLY PRETTY COLOR. IT IS PERFECT FOR BRAISING AND CASSEROLES. THE ONE ISSUE I HAD WAS THE CAST IRON RIM ON THE LID DID RUST A BIT, I SHOULD HAVE OILED THAT PART PRIOR TO USE. ALSO IT IS IMPORTANT TO DRY THE LID AND PAN AFTER WASHING SO THAT THE RIM DOES NOT RUST. I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE RUST WITH A LITTLE SALT ON A SPONGE. IT IS DEFINITELY A GOOD VALUE COMPARED TO THE LECRUSET PANS.
EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!! Kind of pricey, but worth it as it shortens my cooking time (since it retains heat so well). It goes from the stovetop to the oven, and it cleans easily. I use it as a skillet and baking dish. Also, no nasty chemicals or fumes released during cooking as with nonstick surfaces.
Just a great product, it also doubles as a skillet since it has a nice wide cooking surface. And it's heavy cast iron, made in the USA by Lodge. Everyone should have this casserole pan in their kitchen. I also have the 3 Qt. Dutch oven, which is also one of my favorite pans to use now. The price is also amazing for both of them. Thanks Walmart for great prices and great products.
LOVE this pan!! would recommend to any home cook.

I love LODGE products and I'm sure this will be amazing at cooking food, but it's so disappointing to spend a lot of money only to have it chip right away
Good quality, but food does tend to stick to the enameled surface quite readily. Best for stews and casseroles over trying to sear or fry.
I've had the pan 2 weeks and its already chipped. It hasn't been dropped or misused. I was rinsing the pan and turned it over - noticed that there were blue chips laying at the bottom of the sink. These are not cheap pans so I expected more. It does have a warranty so I will return.
Early on mine turned brown on the inside. I cannot get it clean. Soaking or scrubbingânothing works. Customer service told me I did something wrong, that I must have heated it with nothing in it. But arenât you supposed to heat the oil before browning meat? I donât even like to use it anymore because it looks so dirty.
