    samsung tv

OMG I LUV MY 55"samsung we needed a upgrade from old to an awsome new and boy is it worth it..

    Great TV

After many months of researching and reading reviews it finally came down to the Sony KDL-55EX500 or the LN55C630. I finally found the two of them side by side on display and hands down the Samsung had the best picture. I didn't want the internet aps and felt 120HZ was plenty for my use, so this TV fit the ticket perfectly. Set up was fairly easy and use is straight forward. The sound seems to be fine to me and doesn't require being turned up excessively. The PIP is not really useful in that the TV doesn't have 2 tuners so it requires another input source that isn't connected by component to work. The other thing I noticed was that regular TV and DVD's had a strange picture quality with the 120HZ motion flow option turned "ON", therefore as recommended by several reviews I turned it off and problem solved. The motion flow is most suited to sports programs and I'll try it while viewing them. Overall I am very happy with the TV and really enjoy the picture quality. The real bonus was that our local store had this TV on sale for $1498! I had not set out to buy a 55", but for the money we decided to upsize and don't regret it.

    So far, so good!

I originally had my mind set on the LG 55" LED LCD, did some research & liked what I read. On the day I went to get it, I spent some time looking at it in the store. This Samsung set was right above it, and the difference in picture quality was obvious. The LG had very noticeable motion blur & pixelation in high detail scenes, the Samsung was much better! So all my research went down the drain & I bought the Samsung. The picture quality is amazing. My cable company has analog, digital, and HD channels, and all 3 look excellent! I was worried about the analog channels, I know for a fact that they don't look very good on some HD TVs. The HD channels are amazing too! The sound is one of the weak points. I haven't really gotten into the customization settings, I just tried the different presets. There is very little bass, it's actually terrible for any video game that has guns! Fortunately I've always had a 5.1 system for my game consoles, I just had to try the TV speakers out of curiosity. They're not bad for TV & movies, but I would suggest using surround sound! The remote is cool, but I think I might have gotten a bad one. Everything works perfect except the arrow keys, sometimes I have to press them several times to get it to respond. No big deal to me, I don't even think it's worth the time & hassle to try to solve the problem. I do wonder if this TV would be cheaper if it didn't have all the web & network apps, especially the licensed ones (youtube, facebook, etc). I don't think I'm the only one that will barely use them, if ever. On that note, my Walmart charged over $200 more than the price shown here. And of course I got the extended warranty, I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't!

    Something about Touch of Color??

On the box and review of the product, it mentions ToC (Touch of Color) which is a feature in which you can "turn on" a red border on the TV which is supposed to enhance the physical attraction of the TV. There is nothing of the sort mentioned in the manual, and going thru all the options on the TV nothing can be found that even hints at ToC. The TV does look like it's made to have that feature except for the fact that I haven't figured out how to do it. But if anyone has figured it out, please, post! All in all, the TV is great...the picture looks so real that sometimes it almost seems like you are watching a newly recorded home video of something. Took a little while to get used to that, everything being soooo clear it's almost fake. Animated movies look great. Looks fantastic wall mounted.

    Awesome TV

My father purchased this tv about 4 months ago. He got a great deal in the store when they went on sale. The picture quality is amazing, and it has a lot of features. Consumer reports rated this top #2 out of the best LCD TV'S. My husband and I just ordered the same tv today (they are sold out in our local store). We are looking forward to having one of our own. You will not be disappointed with this TV, and it is worth every penny.

    nice tv

Nice tv good picture good value I think it is # 1 in tv. The sound could be better you need more speakers.

    Excellent Picture Quality

I just purchased this TV after much research and price comparing. This TV has a excellent picture quality with rich colors and incredible sharpness and clarity. Excellent value for the price. Set up was simple from box to viewing in about 10 minutes. Feel like I'm at the movie theater in my family room!

    GREAT TV!!!!

I did a ton of research before I purchased this tv. It initially was not what I started out researching, but it continually came up in my searches. When I went to the store, I went to purchase about a 45-47" tv to go above our fireplace. When we went in the store and saw this TV, there was no comparison! THE BEST picture that I have seen! When we got it home, set up was easy. The picture was good, but not Great. We did not have an HD cable box and when I got that changed...Man! It was GREAT!!! If you get this TV, the HD cable box makes a HUGE difference, so make sure that you have that or are ready to upgrade thru your cable company. We LOVE THIS TV!!! You will not be disappointed!

    Very nice TV

I bought this TV on 1/15/11 to replace an old tube TV. The first week I had this TV I did not have HD programming, I was forced to hook my satellite up through the AV input, the picture quality in that mode was terrible, very blurry. I called my satellite provider and upgraded to a new receiver with HD programming and am now hooked up with a HDMI cable. WOW, what a difference. The picture quality is awesome. My advice to anyone considering this TV, make sure that your cable or satellite box can hook up to this TV using a HDMI cable. If not, expect a poor picture.

    Beautiful Picture

I already owned a 32" Samsung and was very pleased with it. So when we decided to buy a larger TV for our sunroom we wanted another Samsung. The picture is so crisp and clear you can see the lint on a persons clothing. Love the beautiful color and the ease of set up. If you have HD you can't ask for a better picture.
