    Lots of fun possibilities!

My favorite thing about the Little Tikes Discover Sounds Shape, Sort and Scatter toy is that because of the several different play modes, it captures my son's attention for extended periods. It has a free-play shape sorting mode, that tells my son what shape and color the fish is that he put in it, which teaches him so he can move on to the next level. The second level of the Shape, Sort and Scatter, called “directed shape sorting”, where the toy asks my son to insert a specific shape and color and if he gets it right, the flashing green light comes on. It’s really nice for him to get that positive feedback, because then he is motivated to keep trying. There’s also a “game play mode” where my daughters play with him (since they already know their shapes and colors) to see who will be the first one to find the color and shape the toy asks them for. The thing my kids were most excited about with the toy (in addition to the adorable faces on the shapes!) is the three language options: English, French and Spanish. They really enjoyed checking how to say different words in French and Spanish, and since I know a little of each, I was able to clarify if they were unsure what the word meant.

    Part of toy not working

Part of this toy did not function. When my child inserts heart shaped block, the sensor doesn't detect that he has inserted it and all the blocks are scatter out.

    Great Toy!

Love this toy! It has 3 different settings so it can grow with your baby. I have to admit I've sat in the floor with my son and ended up playing with it myself lol.

Great for my 1 year old granddaughter

I actually played with it with her. She learned so quickly and had so much fun just putting the shapes into it and watching them fall through the bottom

    Sad!!!

My daughter played with this toy at her cousins and loved it. I went out and bought her one and brought it home. The quieter of the 2 sound settings didn't work all together. The button she pushes just keeps saying to "press the button to begin". The bottom won't fall out we did get it to once then couldn't get it to go back up. We are very disappointed and she keeps trying to play with it I feel terrible it doesn't work like it should for her. Unfortunately I even messaged the company and received no response. I will not go out and buy another one for another$30 for a new one. Not to mention this is my second review not sure what happen to the first one but I copied and pasted this from the email little tikes auto sent me to confirm my review.

    Poor quality, quality control

Same problems as below - batteries were of poor quality so unit did not function properly, lights just flickered, it made an irritating ticking sound and the base would not stay up. Had put it in the trash as was a gift so no receipt to return it - I fished it out (if you pardon the pun) and replaced the batteries after reading these comments. Still doesn't work properly though - red heart doesn't register when putting it through the correct hole so kind of makes the whole game pointless as it's impossible to complete it on sort or beat the clock mode. It's colourful and makes sounds though so it will keep my 9 month happy, but it's a poor quality product so as a result it doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

    Awesome toy

I love this toy. We got this toy for my son's first Birthday and it has been awesome! I did have to replace the batteries that originally came with it after about a month of use,and after reading some of the other reviews I want to mention I choose to change the batteries because: it would not let the pieces fall and kept repeating "press the button to begin"(took me a day of thinking about it, but figured it had juice to talk but not to make the bottom move). Our son is almost 15 months now and he has done everything to it, including picking it up and throwing it. Boys will be boys. It still works great and I love the idea that this toy will grow with him while teaching shapes, colors and competition.

    Very disapointed

Pieces are to tight to be push by a toddler, the voice is very bad you can t hear what it says
