I had a similar problem but had dropped mine and accidently stepped on it.  I called their customer service line and had a new remote sent out right away.  They have a great customer service staff and you get to talk to a real person.

I usually set timer for night time. last Sunday we had thunderstorm, but I still kept it running. I was worried at first but the following day, it still running! so I am very happy with this product! :)

What is the duty cycle, or can it be run continuously?

I just love my new Points of Light Lightshow!  It's super easy to set up, and I like that I can program not only the colors I want to display but the sparkle pattern as well.  With my Points of Light Lightshow, my house definitely "pops" and stands out from my neighbors' on the street.  Move over Clark Griswold!  There's a NEW decorator in town!!  :D

Awesome Splash of Color

Fantastic! Shines through even  with my front property security lights! Works far better than my Flurries light set up and is so much easier to use and set up! What is so cool, is after you select the set up, it remembers what you selected after you turned it off . Once you select what you like, power off, then turn it back on, it is what you last set it on rather than using the remote to re-set what you want. WE LOVE THIS!

Set up and forget! Amazing &  EASY!

OMG!  this item is incredible!  it is so easy to use...just plug it in and see the beautiful lights and I can change the effect.  I bought 2 and they cover the whole front of my house.  The nice thing is I can use this for NY's, and then even into Valentine's and in the summer by the pool.  What a great item and a must have for the holidays!

Christmas Lightshow Projection Points of light

14 Different color combinations to choose from between Green, Blue, Red and White. You can mix all those colors, for example Blue and Green, or Green and Red. THEN you have 4 different effects you can create with the lights, steady burn, a very slow twinkle, a very fast twinkle and a fading effect. You can also change the each effect to falling (looks like falling snow) or just small dots that don't move. Pretty COOL! Being able to change the color combo and mode is nice for variety. Endless color and combinations!!!

This gives tremendous coverage on your house. The different light patterns are great, whether you want something really dynamic or something more understated. Super easy to set up.

Really makes a statement

We kept seeing the commercial for this on VUDU free movies so we ended up buying it lol.  I live in an apartment so I'm using it inside, my son loves it.  I think this would be so fun for parties and plan to use it for my son's next bday party!

I'm using it indoors!

We enjoy these year round in our yard on trees.  Get rained on everyday.   3yrs old and still going strong.   When pointed in the trees we can have a blue dots everywhere great backyard light on landscape.  Then we take remote and change color for christmas

Xmas or year round

I bought the Points of Light last year.  I wanted orange lights for Halloween and Thanksgiving this year, so I did some research.  Points of Light did not make any enhancements for this year (I did email them suggestions last year).  I found that ION Holiday Party Plus has all of the colors as Points of Light plus has the colors orange and purple.  With the Holiday Party Plus, the colors are brighter and the remote makes it easier to get the display that you want instead of having to go through all of the options like with the Points of Light.  Also, Points of Light has a replaceable fuse.  I did not have to replace the fuse, but I mention it because the fuse is so small that it would hard to replace and easy to lose.  I mentioned the Holiday Party Plus because I think that it blows Points of Light away and has what Points of Light is lacking.  That is why I didn't give Points of Light a better rating.

Could Use Enhancements!

First one worked fine for a couple of hours.   When I turned it on the second night the motor would no longer turn.  Returned it for a new one. Looked like it had never been out of the box.  The motor on the second one didn't work straight of the box.  Too bad it's such poor quality, it looked nice when it was working properly.
