The treatment that finally worked!

The product worked but if a louse gets back on the head -or- you leave a nit behind, the process/infestation starts all over again. Everything the child has been in contact with (sheets, jackets, pillows, hats, towels) has to be cleaned or you'll get them again. What finally got rid of it for us, after we used the product, was combing the hair every time my daughter took a bath while the conditioner was still in the hair. It did not hurt and just took a couple of extra minutes during bath time. I was surprised how many tiny nits came out the first few times. Since she has long hair, we combed it with a bigger plastic comb first to get the tangles out, then used the lice comb that came with the kit to get the nits out. We did this for 3 weeks straight. I never had to put the chemicals back in the hair. My daughter now keeps the two combs by the bath tub and combs it herself while bathing from time to time just to prevent another infestation. I dealt with this for months and tried everything. This is what finally worked.

Non toxic, works really well and is so convinient.

My young children keep coming back with head lice from every summer camp they go to (disgusting, yak!), this spray allows us to take care of the problem before they even sit down in our car after we pick them up. It works awesome, seems that it also kills eggs as well because there were no re-occurrences of lice just after one application. After it dries, one cannot tell it was applied unlike some other oily messes out there. It is NON TOXIC, and contains no pesticides, but rater works by drying out the lice (dehydrating them), a huge plus in my book; I am sure no one wants to put any poisons on your kids' skin/hair. Love the convenience and this stuff works really well; kills all lice withing minutes (if not seconds). I stopped using shampoos and other "stuff" after trying this spray, there is just no need for any other treatments. I just wish there was a bigger bottle (at a local store) and the product was cheaper since this bottle is not big enough for 2 applications (2 kids, 1 with long with long hair) if you want to get all hair really wet (like you should). I really love this stuff!

Great

My daycare got lice, I read reviews and bought this and found one on my daughter, I treated the whole family with one bottle. One of the daycare families couldn't get rid of it and tried rid and nik with no success, got this for them and no more lice. I now have 2 in my medicine cabinet just for emergencies

IT WORKS!

I wish someone had told me about this years ago. I found it by going online and reading reviews. I have tried just about everything on the market for head lice in the last 50 years. This is the first one to work after one application; It took out all lice, nits and eggs.

1. for best results its recommended to let the product air dry.
by Drreee
2. At least until it dries. I am not qualified to talk about how long this takes in a girl with long hair; probably as long as it takes to naturally-dry hair after a shower. For a boy it is 10 minutes to a half hour depending on whether you spray outdoors and stay outdoors. I like to leave it on as long as I can, although I may comb out the dead lice sooner (since the idea of them on his head is gross).
by momof8fay
3. We have always left it overnight and has worked wonders for us.
by elisacg
4. leave it on for the day. it's not so bad:)
by featherhead
5. The box to apply the product to dry hair. Saturate the hair. Then, let the "allow product to air dry naturally, do not rise out." However the next line says you can use the product often, but wash the hair regularly to avoid product build up. So, I put it on my girls' hair around 4pm after school, let their hair dry. Gave them baths, so they wouldn't get their hair wet. Then lice combed their dry hair before bed time at 8pm. Then washed their hair the next night.
by ncamda
6. We washed it out the next day it does leave a residue - but don't wash it right away, leave it in over night for best results. it WORKS great.
by Sandee82
7. It is best to wash out after it has dried. Since it is not a pesticide and does not contain anything toxic, it can be left on as long as you want.
by loving1
8. This product works by dehydrating the lice and nits. It must be allowed to completely air dry prior to washing out for this to occur. I leave it on a bit longer than necessary to be sure. The time required for drying will vary depending on the amount of hair and weather conditions. When the skin of the scalp or body feels tight it is an indication that most of the drying has occurred. I would leave it on a bit longer to be sure. The longer the better. Short hair and body areas would be dry perhaps in 20 minutes in low humidity weather but long hair may take an hour or more to dry the base of the hair and the scalp. I leave it on 3 hours or longer to be sure of best results. It doesn't have to be washed out at all, and can wait until the next shower or bath regardless of time.
by Dad75
9. The bottle says to leave it on until it dries completely. You're smothering and drying out the lice with sodium chloride, so you don't want to wash it out before everything is dead. We let our hair air dry which is affected by how humid the air is.
by Surprised1
10. The box says to let it dry on your hair. After that, the product should have done its work and it is safe to wash out.
by FloridaMom14
11. Let it air dry then wash the next day. That's what I did and it worked fine.

1. Yes for ages 6 months and older. The box doesnt specify but I've read online that its recommended to retreat 7 days after treatment and brush the hair out with the nit comb daily.
by Drreee
2. I would. your best weapon is a good comb. There is a better one out there than the one that comes in the box. We use the product once and then repeat in a few days. Keep checking daily until you are sure it's gone.
by featherhead
3. you can use this product for over 6 months of age. I treated the whole family 3 nights in a row
by Bevy
4. no you don't. I applied at night used the comb and let the product stay in my hair overnight and washed out in the morning
by Bevy
5. Box says don't use on children under 6 months of age. I used it on my 3 year old. I used it every couple days. But I think nit combing is probably the most important way to get rid of lice. I stopped using the product when I stopped combing out nits and couldn't find anymore on the head.
by ncamda
6. It says on the bottle for ages 6 months and up. Can be used daily to keep from reoccurrence. It comes with a metal tooth lice comb to get out the lice and eggs. My daughter would come home with them alot. I used it everyday at first. (about 10 days) Now I only use it every few days.
by salemparents
7. We only needed to use it once! - I may do another in about a week, Yes you can use in on your baby's hair, My daughter is 5 and it works really well, and easy to use!
by Sandee82
8. The product is pesticide free, and says for use on children 6 months of age and older. It contains natural ingredients, and can be left on the hair, you do not need to rinse it out.
by ShanaraNY
9. Yes I put it on my daughter hair and let it sit a while then wash it out.
by Stacie
10. Yes I put it on my daughter hair she is 3 used 2 times then all gone
by Stacie
11. Absolutely! It is not a pesticide and has nothing toxic. It is sodium chloride and works by dehydrating the little buggers. Just don't get it into his/her eyes because it does burn your eyes if it gets into them.
by loving1
12. We check again in about a week. You can put conditioner on your child's hair and use the same metal lice comb (after cleaning it) to wet-check again for lice to determine if you need to do it again. Nits hatch in 7 to 10 days, so I definitely recommend re-checking.

1. The box says its ok to use on body, doesnt mention bed
by Drreee
2. I would WASH bedding in hot water if at all possible as is usually recommended. If it is impossible to wash bedding, I would keep the spray on your hair after it dries, and keep re-applying every few days so that any lice that happen to be in bedding find your hair inhospitable. Supposedly they die within 7 days without a host. The spray is supposed to be non-toxic so it should be able to be used on other body hair if affected.
by momof8fay
3. Yes You can, it is Non-Toxic, and it does not have a strong smell, it is a safe product.
by Karlaperdomo
4. for lice in private areas I suppose you could use it. for bedding, no. change your sheets and sleep on clean ones after treatment. I change the kids pillowcases daily after treatment until we are sure the episode is over.
by featherhead
5. The box advises you to machine wash your bedding. So probably not on bedding. The box says, "for body and crab lice, spray on affected areas and let dry" So I guess you could use it on your body. Though, it seems to be a product geared for head lice, and use on the scalp.
by ncamda
6. We actually washed all blankets and lightly sprayed my daughters bed, all is good and the product is amazing. I highly recommend it.
by Sandee82
7. It can be used on the body, yes. It is not for bedding. The lice can escape the surface area and go deeper into the material. It would take an enormous amount of this product to completely saturate fabrics, so it would not be cost effective. Bedding must be thoroughly washed in hot water and dried at high temperature for at least 20 minutes. Longer drying is better if you can avoid scorching the fabric or creating a fire hazard in the dryer--40 minutes is a good goal for heavy infestations, but watch to be sure the fabric doesn't burn and check to be sure the dryer is actually getting hot. Rotating the bedding so that it gets several weeks or more of non-use also helps eliminate the lice.
