I bought this about a little over 2 years ago. Had to put it outside because the picture keeps turning on and off. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love this Tv, have no problems with it brought it brand new 2013, four years later still going strong. It all comes down to how well you look after it, be gentle and careful I am now looking at selling the tv. Downsizing to a smart Tv thank you LG the best thing I've ever brought and well spent my money worth [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Simply Amazing Picture

I'm a harsh critic when it comes to evaluating products. I never thought LG would be in the same category of quality as Samsung and Panasonic plasmas. They may not have been a few years ago. But they are now. If you're a fan of watching TV in a dim/dark room, this LG is worth every penny. I'm amazed at the picture quality. Just because LED/OLED is the latest craze doesn't mean plasma is yesterday's means of high quality picture. Price didn't matter to me. If plasma was more expensive, I would still purchase it over LED TVs in a heartbeat.

Too good to be true

I bought a Vizio 60" Smart TV at first and it was pretty good. It had a thin white line across top of screen. I had it returned and replaced it with a Sharp 60" Aquos which had a pretty decent picture but, not what I wanted for a large screen TV. I was shopping one day shortly after the delivery of the Sharp when I saw the LG 60" Plasma at a very good price. I knew that LG made good products and thought it had to be as good or better than the Sharp. Well, I can't even say just how thrilled and impressed I am with the picture this TV delivers. I'm 71 years young and have always been an electronics fanatic. I've owned the very best in TV's since I can remember and this TV has blown me away. My wife told me that I need to stop reminding her of just how great the picture is but, I can't help myself every time on turn it on.If you're still wondering about what brand or type of TV you should buy, stop and buy a LG Plasma. What's the worst could happen - you return it because you're dissatisfied? But, if you're satisfied as I've been then pay it forward by writing your testimony.

The picture takes my breath away

Received this TV as a Christmas gift and am still in awe of the color saturation and picture depth of this very slim, sweet looking TV. I wanted to watch every commercial over the holidays just to enjoy the colors! Wonderful value for your investment ~ I didn't need to pay all that extra for a smart TV...I have a smart Blu ray player so tons more picture quality here for my money. The only negative I have encountered is that there are only 2 HDMI ports. I guess that is another reason this model is priced a bit lower ~ a bit disappointing nonetheless. LG is and always has been cutting edge so not sure why they would short their progressive thinking minions on something as inexpensive as state of the art connections. Still ~ if I had the where-withall I would put this TV in every room of my house! I'm afraid I'm now ruined for other TV's.Thanks LG!

Quality Picture at Great Price

If you're not big on 3D, and you don't fee like wiring up a smart TV to your modem (which is the preferred way to a quality stream) then this is a fantastic plasma that produces a clear, bright 1080p image at a great price. In fact, I bought two of them (which is why you may see this review twice). What would I wish was better? Not much. Perhaps the remote could be more intuitive, and the sensor could be located higher. Like most flat screen TVs, you're going to want a sound bar, but the sound isn't too bad all considered. There aren't too many inputs/outputs, but I really don't have much to run in and out, other than a Blu ray, a Wii (Netflix) and a PC. The USB plays most files, as well. Picture is incredible. I haven't run into any mechanical glitches, and nothing broke down. Great buy!

Basic TV for people with basic needs

Pros: Great screen size and image quality for the money. Construction seems solid and looks good. Easy initial setup. It's heavy, but that also means sturdy, I have no fear of my 1 year old child stumbling on it and moving it. Cons: Sound could be better. Just 2 HMDI and 1 USB connector. If HDMI1 connector is used, plugging and unplugging the USB is a pain to do, so small available space for the fingers. Video playback on USB port is impossible due to firmare, and you can't change the firmware. The infrared detector for the remote is located in the lower left corner, and you have to aim the remote control carefully or it won't work. Screen is too reflective during daylight. I know it's not a smart TV, but I would expect at least an ethernet port. Remote control looks and feels cheap.

A great improvement ove the G4

I had a G4 for years and the G6 absolutely hits it out of the park. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

GOOD choice for high quality and basic features

This TV has all the basic features you could ask for in a TV set except for the smart TV features. Since I already have a streaming media player that connects to the internet wirelessly, I really did not need the smart internet features. It turns out that adding these smart features significantly increases the price of the TV, so I'm glad that LG offers a basic TV with all the good qualities of a high-end TV, but without the costly wireless features. I like this TV and appreciate its picture and sound quality. The only drawback is the absence of a 3.5mm audio jack to plug in a wireless headphone. It is equipped with a digital audio output, but most headphones use 3.5mm audio jack. I'm really satisfied with the other features though.

Great watching football

with this L.G t.v there is no motion blurr . i had a 240 hz lcd t.v and it had some blurr with it,but this t.v has none.just to let you know i am watching it through a antenna not a cable company . the picture is outstanding.i have a ps3 ,and a blu-ray player connected and the picture is also outstanding.the sound is amazing as you have many control options on how you hear and see the picture. the wizard was great to have to help set up the picture ,but i like mine set up without the wizard. you might have to tweak you controls as well to fit your liking .anyway this is the best t.v out there for this price.this is my first plasma and i do not think ill get another lcd t.v .L.G plasma has a customer for life.
