I needed a small laptop to carry in my single strap/sling backpack and I wanted the laptop to support the Windows version of the Thinkorswim trading platform. After reviewing its component specifications and dimensions, I decided to try the Flex 11.
When I received my it, I switched the operating system from Windows 10 S to Windows 10 Home for free. Then I was able to install Thinkorswim as well as the other few applications that I needed on the device. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this little laptop performs. I had the Chrome browser, mail app, Excel, and Thinkorswim opened at the same time and it still worked better than I expected. Also, it boots up fast, due to its SSD drive. After charging the battery, I used it throughout the following couple of days on that single charge.
If I go to a dimly lit or dark room, I simply fold the laptop into a tablet and continue to input text using the on-screen keyboard. I normally use my cloud storage for important documents that I create and need to access from my other systems, but I am glad there is a multi-media drive for use when there isn't wifi, when there is media-based content to read, or when I need to view or process photos on the SD media card used by my Canon 60D.
I am very pleased with my purchase and I will probably purchase another one next week. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
