The laptop is very sleek and sturdy. Everything runs very smoothly and has all the useful ports that I need. This system is amazing, the speed is unmatched in both the processor capabilities and the download speed. I play many fps games and it is up to par with what I wanted in a gaming laptop! I'm so glad I purchased this laptop and I highly recommend it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Wow! This blows away my previous laptop!
My desktop died and I needed a new PC, I have a travel blog and need a PC capable of video editing. I thought about buying another desktop, but I thought maybe a laptop would be a better choice. My previous laptop is heavy, gets hot and does a just okay job of video editing. I found this laptop at Costco and the specs sounded really good, it looked like it would be a good choice for videos editing, it is built for gaming.
As for how it works, it boots very fast, less than 30 seconds. The fans run at variable speed and run only as needed. They do a great job cooling, they come on high very little so far.
I have edited three videos with it and they rendered very fast with no problems.
Another great thing is there was not much bloatware loaded on it, that was nice.
I am very glad I found this laptop, it is going to travel well with me as we go on the road. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Perfect All Around Laptop
I bought this computer as a new laptop to hopefully carry me through all of college. So far I've been able to run Rainbow Six Siege with the add on Ultra textures and it played without missing a single frame. It's lighting fast and I almost never have to wait for programs or anything of that matter to load. I was also pleasantly surprised that it has a super convient scroll bar on the home screen that allows you to easily alternate between superb performance and battery saving mode. If you want to plug in and game and then immediately unplug and use the laptop for the next six hours, the transition is right there and easy. So basically, let me sum this laptop up: it runs practically any normal program that you might need lighting fast, it runs graphically intensive video games without a hitch, you can easily alternate between energy saver and performance, and it has a sleek design that is a step up from a boring everyday laptop look.
- Its kind of heavy compared to other laptops (but this is to be expected if you want a laptop with performance like this one)
- It gets really hot when on high performance mode running something really resource intensive (although this too is to be expected with a graphics card like the GTX 1660 stuffed into that small of a space) of course if its on a desk this really doesn't matter
- the logo light on the outside is really bright (there might be a way to dim it, I just haven't looked) so if you charge your computer in your bedroom like me and you like it to be really dark, you either have to fully turn off the computer, or fully cover the logo. Not that big of a deal, just a personal preference.
Overall its a all around great computer that I have recommended to all of my friends. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The Features That I Need
Even though this is rated as a "gaming laptop", I purchased it for other reasons. For the past 9 months I searched all brands for a computer with enough memory and speed to do video editing.
This unit fits the bill with the SSD hard drive and the Nvidia graphics card. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this laptop a few months ago and I can't describe how much I love it. The graphics are amazing, the storage la just perfect for my 3D renders, besides it has an awesome sound to listen to your favourite song or watch Netflix. I love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Best Laptop I've Ever Owned!
I am very happy with this purchase and I wish I've went with buying a gaming laptop long time ago!
I mainly bought this laptop for editing purpose. The onboard GTX graphic card does everything I need to do on the multimedia side (photos, video editing, streaming, OBS, live recording, etc.)
This laptop is FAST, even faster than my desktop computer I built years ago.
It comes with good storage space as well, mine was 512SSD + 1TBHDD. CPU is 9th gen, memory 16GB, I've compared this spec with other brand, nothing even come close to the Legion price point and what we get.
This laptop is definitely provides a lot of value for the price. If you want a awesome laptop but having budget limit this is a good one to go with! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Fast system with elegant design
I am extremely happy with this purchase. Great price, runs any games I want to play with an elegant design. Battery life is much higher than I thought with a system with this much computing power and it is lightweight for it's size. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Good laptop, but the Y540 might be better.
This laptop was a good deal for the price that I got it at, but at full price, the Y540 might be better. The first point of difference is aesthetics; the Y545 gives off a clear "gamer" vibe, which is fine if you use the laptop for exclusively gaming - but if you want one for both work and play, the design of the Y540 might be better. Another factor is the thermals. While both laptops have decent cooling, the Y545 can suffer from high CPU temperatures and throttling on the highest settings of high-end games, while the Y540 may not. This is because of a minor difference in the heat pipe design of the laptops that enables the Y540 to cool better. Despite these factors, if you're looking for a decently priced gaming laptop that gives off a clear "gamer" vibe and you don't intend to play super-high-end games consistently, the Y545 is a good buy. Otherwise, I would look into the Y540. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Awesome computer! Poor battery life
Just got this computer and I absolutely love it. It works like a charm and I haven't found any issues with it as of yet. The only problem I have with it is the poor battery life. With normal to minimal use it lasts around 3 hours and while gaming around 1 hour. If you don't mind plugging it in frequently, this computer is a beast.
