Very hot
I ordered this heater when on sale after lots of research and paid for two year warrantee since dealing with makers other folks said was a pain. I did as instructions said and plugged in an outlet with nothing else plugged in. I never use level 2 the 1500 watts due to it sometimes overloading and blowing a fuse according to other reviewers. I haven't had it turn off I have to do it when I'm hot enough. It blows hot air in about five seconds after turned on. I agree that it feels good when you are not far from it and you cannot feel it from far away, but I do not think it means it is not hearing the room up. I have no idea why a reviewer here thought it would warm them outside on the porch it is not meant for outdoor use. I got it same reason most sensible folks did here, my heating bill was $99. I didn't use the oven, unplugged all appliances unused, only cooked on a burner, and laundered in warm water only once this month, and showered quickly four times this month trying to not go broke. So it has to be the heater and I only used one in the bedroom and piled on coats in other rooms. If my bill goes down after using this heater a lot I will tell you.

The Little Heater that almost Could
The heater was wonderful until it died less than a month after I bought it. Hoping it was just a fluke, I will try another. It was that good when it worked.

Tiny but powerful

This is a tiny heater - which is great because it allows you to store it easily in your close. It works great to warm an average-sized room, we even used only the 1st level.

Best heater!!

Best heater ever! Im going on year 3 of pulling this out for the winter! It really does a lot to be so small, im going to buy another one , saves me money!! Id rather use this most days than turn on the heat!!

Excellent Heater -- Great Buy

I recently reviewed my electric bill, and saw it doubled between OCT to NOV. Something needed to be done about this bill because I was not prepared or willingly expecting to pay an expensive electric bill this winter. My wife and I found this heating element (Lasko Electric Ceramic 1500W Heater), and purchased two of them. We placed one heater in our bedroom and placed the second in our living room. It has worked so well, we decided to turn-off the apartment's heater, and just rely on two Lasko Electric Heaters for warmth. As we move from one room to another we just unplug the space heater, and take it with us. Also, we unplug it before leaving for work. I have been pleasantly impressed by this somewhat unassuming heating element, and highly recommend it to others. Thanks for reading this post, and hope it helps. P.S. – Personally, I would rather spend $300 dollars on something other than a high electric bill. Satisfied Consumer, Analyst

Space Heater Review

I was a little disappointed when I saw how small it was since I ordered it online but it works great! I use it to heat my room and it will heat up the whole room (it's a pretty big bedroom) in about half an hour or less. I do not have my heat on in order to save on utilities and the lowest it's been here so far is in the 30s and this still heats my room pretty fast despite being cold outside.

Better then I expected

I read thru most of the reviews and decided to just ignore the bad ones. I purchased 2 of these to heat our trailer and am very pleased. We had a older and bigger Lasko heater and it finally gave out so I saw these and knew they were made by a good company. These heaters are in fact quite small but WOW they are GREAT.. They do an excellent job of heating and the adjustable thermostat works excellent. One of them has no problem of heating a 25x15 room so if you are looking for a great heater then buy this one.

Good

For the size, it's incredible. It heats my entire room in 15 minutes or less (depending on which heat setting I choose). Perfect. The ONLY downside to this is that if you fall asleep with it on then you wake up sweaty haha. Wish there was a timer or something, but hey, for the price and quality I really don't mind!

GOOD HEATER

This heater is under-rated on this website. I've had it for a year, and it's a good, practical tabletop heater. It puts out a lot of heat for it's size, and the heat it blows is HOT. The fan also blows the heat a good distance. This would make a good bathroom heater; when I use it in the bathroom I find it effective if it's placed on the floor (since heat rises). Close your bathroom door for a few minutes, and it will warm up your bathroom. It also makes a good personal/spot heater for the kitchen or living room. It won't heat a big room, but it will heat an area. And if you leave it running long enough, the ambient temperture of the whole room will rise a little. It also has a thermostat knob that you turn to adjust the level of heat. I took off one star for value, as I paid about $10 less for it than the price listed here. But since Walmart.com is such a great place to shop, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it on this website. By the way, this heater was listed as a "best value" heater on various consumer websites across the web. You can't really go wrong. Versatile size, decent price, blows hot heat, and seems durable.

Good Basic space heater

This is an inexpensive space heater that does not have a lot of bells and whistles but does the job. We are using this in a unheated sun room. We do not expect to use this to heat the room all the time but just at specific times. It puts out good heat. The big thing is it does not make a lot of noise so that is just what we wanted. The operation is simple and straight forward. You set the thermostat and it heats until it gets to the setting you put it at. After reaching that temperature it cycles on and off to keep the area at that temperature (give or take a range). The temperature setting is a dial with out any numbers so setting it at a temperature is done by trial and error. We have not tested the temperature setting because we have not run it long enough to achieve the temperature setting. For our uses this simple operation of turn it on and it heats is just what we wanted. We have a much more expensive space heater with digital controls and we can never remember how to work all the settings so it is often shutting off because there was a timer setting that we did not set properly.

I BROUGHT MINE BACK BUT.......

This really is an excellent heater, really blows out the heat but.....it doesnt heat a medium sized room like a bedroom 14x12 on the low settings like larger 1500watt heaters do. This is a tiny little heater suitable for a bathroom or small bedroom, office, etc. in my opinion. I would definately recommend it.

2. Suppose to.
by Tinyhouse1
3. No the thermostat does not set by degrees it is a scaling dial
by LordKhan
4. No. A simple turning the knob left to right from the point of a circular triangle at the left to about 1/4" wide at the right end.
by Porkchop4
5. Yes! A thermostat knob on the front.
by Bjbest
6. The thermostat is a dial that has a circular line that gets fatter as it goes around. No digital settings at all. Setting the temperature is done by trial and error.
by MROAK
7. There are 2 dials on the heater. One for the fan and the other for the heater. The dial for the fan has the numbers 1 & 2 (1 being low & 2 being high). The heater dial has dots from small to large. The bigger the dot the hotter it gets. Once the room reaches a certain temperature it shuts off.
