Designed to display the exact time.........

When the battery was inserted, the clock ran from 12 to 12 and stopped. I put it on the wall while still stopped. The next morning the clock had set itself and was running. It has continued to run perfect.

Works as advertised, but not perfect

Biggest gripe I have about this clock is how difficult and slow it was to get it to receive the broadcast signal from Colorado. It took several days, but the clock ultimately did get the signal and adjust itself accordingly. Consequently when we readjusted for daylight savings the clock again took several days to finally set itself for the time change after the switch in back was flipped. Aside from that the clock is genuinely and impressively quiet in operation; the 80s era Citizen wall clock that it replaced was no slouch in this regard as well, but the La Crosse utterly spanks it in terms of its eerie silence. While the face is generally easy to see and the numbers are clear and legible, it would've been better if the clear lens somehow had a more matte sheen to it; glare coming of the lens can be a problem even on overcast days. Overall an modern, attractive clock that goes about its business very well.

This clock is amazing, attractive, always correct.

This clock is amazing! It's attractive, arrived in a shock-resistant shipping box, and was easy to attach to the wall. Best of all, it always shows the correct time and adjusts itself from satellite signals.

a nice clock but makes a slight ticking sound

I do like this analog clock because it's black on white hands are highly visible even in low light, more visible than an LCD digital clock. However, the hands are not completely silent which caused me to return the clock and I exchanged it at Wall-Mart for a Better Homes and Gardens brand, very high quality cherry wood/brushed metal digital atomic wall clock which also has a fold-out support allowing it to stand upright on a desk. The cherry wood clock also has a remote temperature sensing device for placing outside or in another room, as well as a barometer type weather prediction icons as well as the day and date. The BHG cherry wood clock is the finest clock I have ever purchased while being almost exactly the same price as the analog clock but with many more functions. The LCD numbers are also very bold, a measured quarter inch thick so very visible. During the evening with no lights on, the analog clock may be easier to see, but that is the only advantage I noticed with the analog clock.

    Great clock.

I bought this clock for my bathroom. It is replacing one that was hanging above my tub, and got dropped into the tub and broken, when the time changed. This clock is radio controlled, so once you select your time zone (on the back of the clock), and put in the battery, the clock will set itself. No more slipping into the tub or dropping the clock to change the time. (I'll worry about the battery later) It is attractive (plastic not metal), and will work in most modern decors. The price is pretty attractive also.

    La Crosse technology

For the minimal cost Irs very appealing, smart sleek look. Even though it's only 10" in diameter the number are sufficiently large enough to see from a distance of at least 10-15' away. I appreciate the quiteness of the mechanism as the second hand runs round the face. Being an analog clock it's easy to read.

Attractive, fast, and easy to set up

Before the La Cross Atomic Clock I tried an atomic clock that displayed the day, date, outdoor and indoor temperature. And it was a pain to set up. YOU had to set up the language. YOU had to set up the time zone (central, estern standard, etc.). By the time the batteries ran out the second time, and I began the process, and was totally frustrated, I decided to search for an atomic clock that just displays the time. The La Crosse is it! All you do is put in the batteries, and lay it down (or hold it and watch it set itself.) The second hand went around once (recalling this from memory - I've had the clock for over a month now) and that was all there was to it. FROM THE TIME I TOOK THE CLOCK OUT OF THE BOX AND PUT THE BATTERIES IN, IT TOOK LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES! AND THE CLOCK WAS READY TO HANG ON THE WALL - WITH THE CORRECT TIME! P.S. When trying to submit this review it says my "nick name" has already been taken. It is difficult to conceive that ANYONE would have the exact same nick name as I have - but you've provided no way for me to confirm JNNII or jnnii is really me. Now I have to make up something I'll probably forget.

    Great value

The set up is easy, but I had to wait about one hour before the clock finally sync up. 10" is the outside diameter, so the face of clock is smaller than I had expected. If I had seen the clock in store (I ordered it online), I think I would have chosen 14" one instead.

    Just as expected!

It did not set the time on its own the first and second day as it was suppose to, so I reset it and move it to a wall toward Colorado as the instructions book said and just like magic, the clock's hands start moving around and stop at the correct time. Once set, I moved it back to where I had it before and the clock has been working perfect since then!
After putting the battery in, it took a few hours to communicate with the home base out in Colorado. The clock matches a digital clock (also connected to the atomic clock signal) of mine in another room right to the second, which is what it should do. The face of the clock is visible from across the room, which my digital clock is not. I recommend this clock to people who want a reliable, easy to read clock that still functions when you have a power outage, which does happen in my rural area.
