So first I should mention I've owned one of the original (black and white) versions of this for years. Every morning, especially on school days, we all walk into the kitchen to see the TIME, TEMP and INDOOR TEMP.....the old version was nice, but this new version is AMAZING!!! So in addition to the TIME (always dead on because its sent by a signal from the national center) and the TEMP (indoor and outdoor) but the added features of PRESSURE (I have fibro and lupus and seeing the pressure and feeling the pressure...I know now the pain isn't all in my head but there is a front or change in the weather....so helpful). Also there is the what is the weather looking like now with SUNNY, RAIN, SNOW, etc. on the monitor just below the time. Okay so this sounds like a TON of info, and it is, but its very small...about the size of a 5x7 photo (a bit longer maybe 5x9 but you get the idea). We hung ours up and now as we all walk into the kitchen we still after weeks comment on the color, the info and how AMAZING this monitor is!!! GREAT for verifying your inside and outside temp as well as the details that make weather important In addition I will also add there are weather and time alarms on this unit...not sure i would put it in a bedroom because its VERY BRIGHT but we've added one to our bathroom and its AWESOME!!!

Beautiful and informational
We have owned many previous indoor / outdoor weather stations, but never one as attractive as this one. The numbers are large and easy to read. With the multiple color display, it requires only a quick glance to be fully informed of the current weather conditions. Setup was easy, but not without a little stress. The base took a long while to recognize the remote. Initially I thought the unit was defective, but after sitting on a shelf for 1/2 hour the outside temperature was displayed. The atomic clock feature took overnight. It would be good if the instructions gave warnings about the considerable delay acquiring the remote signals. Overall we love this new unit and cannot believe the remarkable value.
great way to tell outside temperature
it was easy to assemble and hang sender outside. after a few minutes the sender started sending and unit displayed outside temp.it is neat to look over at it at night as it is in bedroom and it is bright enough for a dark room.always kmow now how temp is outside and inside.
I've had several inside/outside temperature systems and this is the best of all. Very large numbers that can be read easily from 15 to 20 feet away. The back light is great and can be adjusted to bright, dim or off. Very easy to set up even though the instructions don't go into much detail. The animated clouds showing clear, partly cloudy or cloudy conditions are very cool. Even more so is when the unit senses rain in the near term, there is rain coming out of the clouds. The time, date and day sinc up to the atomic clock in Colorado giving you the correct time all the time. The outside remote sensor is spot on giving you not only the temp but also the humidity. The backup batteries assure that your settings will always be there in the event of a power failure. You will need 3 AAA batteries and 2 AA batteries that are not included. Also you need a power source to plug the unit in with it's long power cord. After owning one for about a month, I purchased 5 more to give as gifts at Christmas. It's the most affordable unit you can buy with all the bells and whistles.
The Lacrosse indoor outdoor weather station was very easy to set up and operate. The display is very colorful and easy to read from across the room. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to keep up with the weather.
