amazing
We have the Lg oled 65 in c9 and it's the best decision we have ever made. The picture quality is amazing completely clear and makes you feel like you are actually watching it live in person right in the comfort of your own home. It is a pain to hang but thats just because its so fragile so was worried about breaking it. We are completely in love with our new tv and we could never go back to a plain lcd again. The remote is a little of a pain because we keep having to rehook up our bluray because its threw a surround system but im sure we will figure it out. Not good
This first complaint I have is that documentation was incomplete. No paper hard copy user guide was included with the tv. I know you all think that electronic copy is just as good but a it's not near as on convenient as a hard copy in your hands. Second: the picture lacks a lot. I've noticed wide vertical bands of red and blue color across the screen. It's annoying and it stays there as scenes change. This might be banding but it's not like banding I'm accustomed to. Otherwise it's an adequate product but certainly not what I expected and not worth the cost. I can honestly say I have never written a review this critical of a product or service before. In the future I'll be reluctant to purchase another LG product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

One of the Best OLED TVs! Read the Review!

LG has done it again with OLED C9 series TV - it is one of the best TVs currently on the market! Last year it was LG's C8 OLED TV and one would not think that there was any way to improve it and make it better, however LG engineers had a lot to offer and made OLED C9 series stand out once again. I thought I would never say that, but I find this TV almost perfect in its design and function. First of all, I'll throw some technical terms out there: HDMI 2.1, eARC, Variable Refresh Rate , HDR10 - all these are new upgrades and best of all, they futureproof this TV for the years to come. LG also improved and upgraded its Alpha 9 to Gen 2 processor which is responsible for image processing with the help of AI (artificial intelligence) as well as AI enabled sound improvements and even its smart functions are being AI analyzed (WebOS with ThinQ AI). Basically, all the above mentioned features make this TV produce superb image quality, amazing quality sound and ease of use in navigation whether you are you switching inputs or changing something in the Settings. I believe these are pretty important things as we are all looking for these features when buying a new TV. I am also impressed by the aesthetics, i.e. design of this TV: it has a very thin OLED panel that is supported by a pretty hefty stand that gives me a lot of confidence that this TV is very stable (last year model, not so much). Even the back panel looks very clean and has cable management system to make it all tidy. The stand itself with its angled edges does not protrude a lot and functions as a virtual 5.1 surround sound distributor as the speakers are located right above it, and man does this TV sound great! As I mentioned earlier, its WebOS has been improved and is easy to maneuver around, all your Apps, inputs are intelligently organized. To make it even easier to navigate menus, LG gives you their Magic Remote. Its rubbery button layout is nice and has Netflix, Amazon Prime Video devoted buttons to start up your movies. The Mic button activates Google Assistant and with the help of voice commands you can change channels, turn your TV off, check weather - the sky is your limit. And if you like Amazon Alexa, LG will be bringing an update later on to enable the assistant. Also support for Apple AirPlay 2 is coming later this year too. All in all, LG OLED C9 is an outstanding TV with superb PQ, pure blacks, popping colors, excellent off angle viewing, crisp sound and simply an engineering beauty.

The Best Gets Even Better!

So far, I am completely blown away by this TV. I thought my 2016 LG OLED TV was good...and it was. But they have really taken it to a new level with the improvements over the last 3 years. The overall picture quality of OLED can not be beat - that's long been the consensus amongst us audio/video-philes. But the fact that they were able to take the best and make it even better...well, it's nothing short of amazing. The truest blacks you will ever see on a TV, now with even brighter brights and better HDR. It's a truly breathtaking visual experience and let's face it - when you buy a TV the #1 most important thing is the picture quality. Not only is the OLED screen itself a site to behold, but LG has included all the settings you could possibly need to fine tune it exactly to your taste. The first thing I would suggest is turning off TruMotion - this is what causes the "soap opera effect" that makes movies and TV shows look like they were filmed using cheap home video cameras. Although for some crazy reason every TV manufacturer ships TV's with this type of feature enabled by default so I think a lot of people just thing it's the way modern TV's are supposed to look. It's not! Turn it off! The other settings can be set to your taste and there are plenty of places online to get expert suggestions on those as well. But suffice it to say, this TV has every setting you could possibly want to get the best picture on the best tv in the world! But LG didn't stop at that. The "Smart" aspect of this TV has me as a gadget geek just absolutely giddy! This is also a huge improvement over my 2016 model. The remote is much improved and sets nicely in your hand and works as easy as a mouse with a computer. And when you press the mic button, magic happens - you can search for a show or movie and LG will display everywhere it's available that you have connected to - Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu - as well as all the places you can buy or rent it - Fandango, Google PLay, Vudu. No more switching from app to app trying to find it - LG does it for you! But that is just the beginning - this TV also has the Google Assistant built in. Check the weather - or your calendar - or turn off your smart lights all from your TV remote. And the way it displays responses is brilliant - it doesn't take over your whole screen. You can still have your show or game going - it just shows on the bottom or the side. It's awesome. Needless to say I am BLOWN away by this amazing OLED TV! Fantastic picture

I've had this TV for 3 weeks, and am very happy with the picture. Dolby Vision Blu-ray discs look stunning, as advertised, but I'm also very happy with upscaled streaming content like HBO and YouTube TV. I was concerned that some reviewers have not been happy with sports on LG OLEDs, but I think the NBA and NHL playoffs look great. I adjusted the sports mode to turn down the oversaturation, and turned on OLED motion, and find this works great with no noticable blur or jumpiness.

The built in apps work fine, but I already had a Chromecast Ultra that is better integrated with Google Assistant, so I tend to use this for most things.

A casual user might be a bit overwhelmed by all the modes and options, so I suggest reading one of the reviews like rtings.com for a setup overview, but if you are willing to invest 20 min or so, you can get the best picture for all of your content. Incredible TV

The C9 is my first OLED TV and I can't believe how incredible it is. Every day I fall more and more in love with it. Perfect for pretty much everything, I play games quite a bit and this TV blows my mind how gorgeous it makes these games look. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

2019 LG Oled

The picture is gorgeous and I was surprised by how good the sound was on the set. The tweaks LG did for the cable routing on the stand were also welcome. One thing I didn't appreciate is the fact that you cannot get any variation of HBO in the LG app store. This is a major drawback. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Amazing tv

Bought this tv about 2 weeks ago. It's an excellent tv. Did not understand what the big deal with Oled until I saw 4K uhd movies and now I get it. This is the tv to own for movies, they look terrific. I also use it for video games, and games look stunning, I have yet found a game that does not look good on this tv. I also watch sports and cable on it. The web os is awesome, smooth, responsive. And using this to stream content is great, uhd along with hdr and Dolby vision content, again I repeat this TV is the best for movies!

My only drawbacks are the speakers aren't the greatest, the stand helps with the volume, but I currently have it mounted. I'd recommend getting a soundbar. The other problem is I have an external hard drive with movie files on it, not all movie files are capable of playing on this tv, while on my previous tv that's 3 years older, plays every video file on my hard drive. Also no hbo go on this tv, you have to have another smart device to get hbo go on it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Nice picture... when the room is dark.

Bought this and I loved the tv when it was dark out. I have huge windows facing a lake, everywhere in my living room with tons of light and I found out this is not the tv for that kind of room. Could not get ARC working with my Denon receiver, tried everything I could find online, with two different chats to lg technical support, which ended up not helping and the response both times seemed to be from people who did not have a good grasp of the english language to understand exactly what my issue was with the ARC. Tried to live with the tv for 28 days before I ended up exchanging this for a samsung q90r and that looked way better in a brighter room. Also as soon as I hooked up the hdmi cable on the new samsung the ARC instantly worked to my home receiver, not sure what the problem with the LG was. Great picture quality but missing features

I just got my hands on this TV after a long wait. The picture quality is great, the TV itself looks great, the user interface is great, the magic remote is great

but

WISA which was supposed to provide(finally) decent sound wirelessly to my speakers(WISA supported speakers from Bang Olufsen) is not working. It seems that a WISA USB dongle is required but this "magic" usb dongle is nowhere to be found. Nobody sells a such dongle. So if you plan to buy this TV for its WISA support don't do it because there is no way to make it work. There is no WISA dongle sold by LG or anyone else. I've contacted LG and they don't know either where to buy a such device. Other than that the TV is great. I'm just disappointed because I've upgrade (from C8) to C9 for WISA.... Great Picture - Remote and certain features not so

I purchased this last month as I wanted the latest updates from the LG OLED. The pictures is very good and the provides the best picture of any TV I have ever owned. I also purchased and LG Soundbar to ensure I had compatible products for the TV feature set. Overall things worked well with one important exception. The Hdmi ARC feature does not work well even though I have both LG products, you still have to manually turn on the Soundbar each morning. Once it is on it works fine the rest of the day, but each morning it has this problem. I have worked with LG support for probably 20 hours and they are not able to solve this. They even had me return the Soundbar, which I did and still have the same problem. The remote also is very spotty and even though it says it should would as far as 50 feet, it will not work more than 10 feet away and then only if you point it directly at a high spot on the TV. Very disappointed as the TV as superior in picture quality and they are unable to get these basic necessary features working.
