Brilliant picture quality !!
Extraordinary Picture quality and processing speed
I have recently ordered this TV as I was upgrading from a 42" to 65". I am going to share my experience on below points.
Package: The package provided is not flimsy and card board is hard and thick. You get a good feel when you look at the package itself, because of the color print of the TV on the front side of it and on the rear, you have it in black and white. You have place to hold the TV on both the end. You need two people to move the TV safely and the package is well balanced. Its secured with 2 plastic straps.
Unboxing: You have clear instructions on top of the box as how to handle it and also to unbox it. Remove the tape on top of the box, cut the straps and just lift the box. The TV is just upright position. Its that's easy.
Installation: Its quite easy to install. You can find two different pieces for the stand. Their build quality is good. Fix them with 4 large screws, then stick it to the rear of the TV and use the 4 screws to tighten it. It's simple. It's hardly takes 10 minutes to fix the stand and use the TV.
Design: LG has done a good job by reducing the screen bezels. They are just half an inch. The rear of the TV is little curved. The placement of the HDMI and the USB's are very convenient to use. Plunging and unplugging the HDMI/USB wires is easy. Don't worry guys, it's easy to access. The TV is very sleek.
Picture Quality: I bet you won't get disappointed. You will be surprised indeed. 120Hz refresh rate makes a difference. Watch some sports channel. I played a 4K wildlife video from YouTube, for a moment I felt that the animals are just in front of me. It's just magical to experience.
Processor: Its very fast, I mean it. Just keep browsing. You will know that. Switch on the TV and use it. It just takes 2-3 seconds to take you to the homepage or to any of the source. 4k video's play right away. No delay.
Sound: I initially thought i need to pick a sound bar as the OEM speakers' sound quality is pathetic. LG did amazing job in fitting such good quality speakers in a sleek TV. They almost give you a 5.1 channel feeling. It's got the bass effect as well. I watched the avengers end game trailer @ volume no 20, I was left in shock by the sound clarity and effect.
Remote: Magic Remote, It in in fact. The scroll and cursor functions are really a boon for this TV. Gone are those days when you keep pressing the navigation buttons to type letters or alphabets. Just move your remote and the cursor on the screen moves, then just click the select button. It's that easy. You don't need to be very close to the TV. It works wells from far distances too. Voice commands and search is very easy to use. It's really helpful feature.
Final verdict: Competitors have to buckle up. LG is way ahead with the innovations. go for it ! You won't regret.

Great TV with awesome color
Unboxing this new TV from LG was a breeze. The pictorial instructions were clear and easy to understand. I did a wall installation and had no problem attaching it to a Vesa compliant stand.
After starting it up, I went through the setup screens. Those were easy to follow. I had not used a WebOS TV before but did find navigating in it intuitive. I like that it is quick with updating apps. On other TV OS's the process is much slower. I attached it to my surround system and to a game console. I was pleasantly surprised that it was able to identify they game console and automatically labelled that input as that game console.
It has access to over a hundred online TV channels and the menu to search through them is easy. Setting up Netflix, Prime, Plex and Youtube was a breeeze. When playing back videos that have HDR or Dolby, it conveniently displays on the top right that the video you are watching if of that type.
The colors on the TV are very sharp as is, of course, the resolution. HDR videos are very sharp and the contrast is very crisp. My other 4k TV is aboutt 3 years old now and this is definitely a step above in terms of color and sharpness of the screen.
This is worth the upgrade. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
After many reviews of the different 65" 4K tv's I chose the LG Nano 9. I am so pleased with this purchase. The quality of the picture is bar none. So many settings to get the picture exactly as you want it. The smart remote works excellent and the connectivity to WiFi is perfect. I've only had the tv for a couple of weeks but so far nothing but good things from all the family members. Keep up the good work LG.
Great TV, almost 3D
I am reviewing the LG Nano 9 Series 9000PUA 55. I love this TV. I place this TV in my living room. It replaced a 47 inch TV. The box was indicated how to open it. The TV was encased in foam. It came with a magic remote, instructions, TV stand, and cord. The installation process it self was very easy. I used the TV stand. My window air conditioner and a fan does make it wiggle a little but it seems very sturdy, not like its going to fall. The AI walks you through set up when you turn the TV on. It is all very easy and very quick. The magic remote has a pointer on it which makes it easy to make choices. The picture quality is very crisp and sharp not matter where the show you are watching comes from. Even old black and white movies from the 1930's and 1940's are sharper and crisper. It doesn't matter from what angle you are sitting the picture quality is just as good. The sound quality is really good without a sound bar. Sometimes on commercials the sound does go up. I hooked up my fire stick. It was easy and quick to set up. I do have an Amazon Alexa Echo. She is now hooked up, so I can use her to guide my TV, which I am really loving. The TV is thin and there is plenty of room on my TV stand to put a soundbar without compromising space. The HDMI connections are easy to read and to get to. You can cast from your phone or computer to the TV. It does not take but a few seconds. The magic remote is also voice activated. I would highly recommend this TV. Highly recommended to everyone!!
Very happy with my new LG SM9000 55" TV with the latest and greatest NanoCell technology. The box contains a TV stand in three parts, 8 screws, a plastic cover to conceal cables, a power cable, instruction manuals, LG's Magic Remote, and this beautiful TV! The stand is attractive, and includes some basic cable management that keeps cords hidden - a nice touch. The stand was very easy to assemble. Just 8 screws and a Philips screwdriver. This took about 7 minutes to get the TV securely on the stand. Picture - vibrant clear and varied in nuances. The backlit qualities of this new technology remove all color bleed, allowing colors to pop out at the viewer in surprising clarity. The accuracy, depth and beauty of the picture is blowing us away. The upscaling is amazing - 1080 HD source material looks almost identical to 4K material. This TV makes watching Blu-ray movies, streaming Netflix and Amazon Prime programs a JOY!! Can't wait to try out our video games on this fantastic display! Dark colors and blacks are deep. Bright white areas are not washed out, but instead maintain details, holding on to depth of field and subtle colors and textures. It has a wide viewing angle and very little glare. Settings - there are SO MANY available options to the user! The video presets right out of the box are quite useful. Our current favorite setting is ‘Vibrant' - it's so fun to watch 4K nature films on this TV with this setting! The PBS ‘Earth' series looks jaw droopingly incredible! You feel like you're looking through a window - the picture looks so real! This TV offers plenty of inputs and when setting up the TV for the first time, it walks you through the set-up process in the most user-friendly way I've ever experienced – and it worked like a charm – it took us very little time to connect our cable box, Blu-ray player and receiver up to the TV and to have it recognize the different devices, AND setup the remote to control them! Sound – This LG has the best sound on a TV that I've heard. It has a nice range, a good amount of bass and high-end, plus useful EQ settings right out of the box such as, ‘Cinema', ‘Games', and ‘Music'. LG Magic Remote is very unique. It allows you to ‘point and click' with a curser that moves on the screen as you move your remote. It's so easy to use! Also, The Magic Remote can ‘listen' to your commands and your TV will answer! We LOVE this new TV!! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Nice TV with lots of fun stuff
I received this item at a discounted price for my honest feedback. This is replacing a 55" I had in my Living room, the picture quality is flawless, I am in AHH with how crisp and clear the picture is. The TV requires 2 people in my case 3 my helpers were my daughter and my teen son. I had to attach the stand to the TV which was very easy. I gave this 4 stars because of the base stand, the feet are long so I had to adjust where I had to put it since I did not have a bracket to attach it to the wall. My other issue also has to do with the base if you hit the TV it sways back and forth and with an item like this the last thing you want is a mini heart attack thinking something is going to happen. Set up for the TV was very easy my daughter was flying thru the set up since the remote threw me off with the pointer that showed up on the TV. I sat down and I started to set up my streaming services that I already have set up on the TV and I noticed something called LG channels talk about a wonderful surprise it had 166 channels that were free. I play with this TV everyday and have been learning the in and outs I am just so impressed with the quality of the TV, I have never owned an LG item and I am now a fan. Superb rich colors, marred by light blooming
The SM9000 NanoCell technology allows for LED local dimming but features a more advanced "Full Array Local Dimming", or "FALD". Essentially, LED local dimming works by dimming areas of the picture that are dark while lighting up the parts of the picture that are meant to be bright, you get incredible contrast ratios and deeper blacks than what is usually seen in a traditional LCD. But it also introduces a problematic side effect: blooming. Unfortunately, the FALD seemingly introduces even more noticeable blooming. FALD features hundreds of mini LED lights behind the panel that work in "zones" and as a result, has more precise LED local dimming because of the increased number of zones. But with all these zones continuously dimming and brightening the content makes the blooming effect just that much more apparent. There is a way to stop the blooming however. It involves turning down or turning completely off the "LED local dimming" setting, but there's also a side effect to that as well: blacks become very grayish and you lose your high contrast ratios. In the end, there was just too many compromises. Now for it's strengths. This LCD excels in truly rich colors. Dolby Vision content on my Apple TV really shine through. Any one of Apple's 4K daytime aerial screensavers, "Our Planet" from Netflix, and "Blade Runner 2049" from iTunes were all amazingly rich in detail and bursting with rich, vibrant color. I personally don't watch sports, but I would imagine the outdoor fields would look glorious. Other future proofing positives include Dolby Atmos, AirPlay 2, eARC, and WiSA support (I am personally very excited for the future of this brand new tech!). It has an a7 Gen 2 processor, which isn't as advanced as the a9 in the OLED, but it should still be great smoothing out gradient color banding. Last, but certainly not least is the TV's very low refresh rate which is perfect for gaming enthusiasts. So if you mostly watch during the day or in a bright room, then blooming shouldn't be bothersome and won't drastically affect viewing. This set features incredible 4K detail, excellent HDR support, as well as a host of future proofing tech at a pretty affordable price. However, if you are a movie/TV show enthusiast and enjoy watching your content at night, you may be very disappointed in the side effects of the FALD, or the grayish blacks when turned off. In which case, splurge for the OLED and don't look back. I received this product at a discount in exchange for [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
