This is a Christmas gift. Our son played with Legos as a boy and now so does his son. Our daughter-in-law says both "boys" love getting Legos. Gratefully their products are still well-made, a good value and top seller with kids... apparently kids of all ages!

It's Hardeen. Trying to even the score.
When I saw this set I thought it wouldn't be good and later on I decided to buy it and it is an awesome set with good details and play features. Now onto the minifigures. Cad Bane: I think this version of Cad Bane is much better and accurate than the 2010 version in the Clone Turbo Tank and Cad Bane's Speeder. He has regular brown legs and a new torso print with an armoured vest and strap. His headpiece is new and doesn't have the breathing tubes which I think ruined him by making his face squished together. He still has the same hat and a regular blaster. Obi-Wan Kenobi: This figure is extremely accurate because of the tatoos on his face. His torso and legs are also new and deatiled very good. He comes with a sniper rifle but unfortunately comes without his helmet. Nikto Guard: This figure is new and has a detailed head with a serious expression and horns. His torso has belts and a strap on it. HIs accessory is an axe blade on a spear. Now onto the set. The set comes with a new speeder design which Obi-Wan rides. The ship itself has foldable wings for flying and landing respectively along with dual flick fire missiles underneath the wings. There is also an opening cockpit for a minifigure and a space for the speeder at the back of the ship which hides it nicely and it can be released with a hidden button which increases the playability factor. Here is my conclusion. Cad Bane: 10/10 Obi-Wan Kenobi: 10/10 Nikto Guard: 10/10 Cons: No helmet for Obi-Wan and lots of stickers. Overall this is a great set.
HH-87 Rocks my World
The new LEGO Star Wars HH-87 Starhopper is just amazing. With the new awsome minifigures: the new Cad Bane with a blaster riflle, the new Obi Wan Kenobi in Rako Hardeen disguise with a new big blaster riffle and with new and awsome details on the face and a Nikto Guard with an axe. About the HH-87 Starhopper it´s great, it has 362 pieces and it´s recommend to the ages 8-9-10-11-12-13-14. It comes with some stickers, four flick missiles, four movable wings and a speeder that you can connect under the Starhopper. That was my Review of the HH-87 Starhopper.
I've put together many Star Wars lego sets and I liked this one. It wasn't too hard. I put it together within a few hours and the end result is really nice.
VERY GOOD CLONE WARS SET!!!!!!
This is a very good clone wars set probably the best of 2013 and it is worth the money you pay for it and very good figures that come with it and I do recommend this to any one that likes the clone wars!!!
Very cool little set.
While the price per part is a little high for what you get, the Starhopper is a fantastic set. The minifigs are okay. The Cad Bane is fairly bland but is accurate to the depiction in the Clone Wars. The Nikto Guard is okay but it's his Halberd that really stands out. The Obi-Wan Kenobi in Rako Hardeen disguise is really well done. While all the minifigs have good printing on the torsos, Obi-Wan/Rako has really good leg printing and an excellent head print. The only downside to this figure is the lack of helmet. The Starhopper itself is a really neat little ship. It features folding wings, adjustable fins, a nice sized cockpit with seating for one minifig, an opening cockpit hatch, 4 flickfire missiles, and a little area to keep the Speeder Bike. There is also a plate on the top of the ship which can be pushed down to release the Speeder Bike which adds a surprising amount of play value. The set is sleek and unique and great for any builder who wants to have more basic looking Speeders/Ships/Shuttles in their collection. There are only 6 stickers and they are easy enough to apply evenly. Pros: - Kenobi/Hardeen figure - Great playability - Easy to build - Enough moving parts to keep anyone satisfied - Very few stickers - Fun to play with Cons: - Kenobi/Hardeen figure does not come with helmet - Cad Bane and Nikto Guard figures are fairly bland - The set is a little expensive If you haven't picked up this set and would like to, I would definitely recommend it. If you would rather save your money, this one could be passed up as there is really only one good figure.
AWESOME RARE FIND!!
This set is hard to find.Really fun to build and looks great when complete. The figures look cool.I like Cad Bane the most. But Obi Bounty Hunter disguise is awesome too.Just found another one and bought it.So now i have one in the box also. And even less of them out there now:)
I enjoyed building this set and it made me interested in more star wars sets for the future. When I was finished my sons loved the fact that they could press a button on the top and pop out the speeder that is held below the ship. I felt that it was a great ship to start with and it is now sitting in my office.
Bad looking minifigures
Every minifigure in this set looks bad. First of all, Obi Wan looks terrible in his disguise. It looks like he has dried blood smeared on one side of his face. The nikto guard isn't any better. His face looks like half monkey, half man. Cad Bane, he's okay. Now for the set. The pirate speeder is okay, but I've seen better speeders. But the HH-87 is nice with its folding wings, opening cockpit, four flick missiles, and a place to connect the speeder. pros HH-87 cons nikto guard obi wan's disguise All in All, I didn't like this set only because of the minifigures
Not 'Hoppy' about the value
Not too bad of a set, but you should definitely wait for a sale as the price seems a little high fo what you get. Seems like this set should be more fairly priced at $39.
