Great Set

This was a fun set to make. I would love to see tracks for the trolley. I have made many Lego sets and this was the very first time I received a wrong Lego brick for one of the buildings. Other than that, the set came together quite easily.

Festive and Fun

This build is a lovely addition to the Christmas village collection. The trolley is truly what caught my eye, but the buildings have some fantastic details. I really like the shop windows filled with instruments and toys and the garlands. The garlands are a bit difficult to attach, but they look nice. I enjoy the aesthetic of the olive green and maroon colours and the snow details. The minifigures are cute and have a bit of personality. The little functioning mailbox and clock tower are perfect details. Although the interior of the buildings is not roomy, I find them still playable. I would not consider this build a toy for my purposes, but rather a display piece. This set pairs nicely with the gingerbread house from several years ago, and the 2022 Christmas tree set. I like that this set can be paired with tracks and motor elements, but wish that it came with a couple of starter tracks, as all of the add-ons add up to a big expense. One negative to this set is that it was a bit tedious to build the buildings, so I ended up doing it over several evenings. I have read other reviews commenting on the size of the buildings, but they are similar in size to other sets and to many ceramic Christmas village buildings, and look quite nice with them. If anything, the trolley is too large in scale compared to the buildings, but the trolley is a good size for playing and I would not want it to be smaller.
