I purchased the Burj Khalifa set a few days ago on a whim. I had wanted to pick up one of the Architecture sets for a while to decorate my desk with, and picked the Khalifa because I've always been intrigued by its design in real life. The set went together quickly, especially after I spent a few minutes connecting the bricks into pairs. I went ahead and built the antenna-reinforced sections first (leaving one antenna for the top), and that greatly improved the building experience. Overall, it's a great set, and very sturdy; though it IS a rather monotonous build. I expect that with the release of the new Mission Impossible movie, which features this building prominently in its climax, the set will soon become very recognizable. I'd easily recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice LEGO model for their desk at work or at home.

When I first saw this set I thought it looked like a large antenna array off of some giant spaceship, but not much like a building. My wife convinced me to buy it and I'm glad she did. Even with 208 bricks it goes together super fast, under 15 minutes. I thought it would be unstable, but it's not. The use of antennas creates a very solid set. At a little over 16 inches, it's much taller than I expected. The instructions have a ton of background information on the actual building. Unlike other buildings in my office from the architectural theme, no one knew what this building was. Not sure why. I took it apart after a week and used the bricks in another project. This set contains some useful bricks in good quantities. Round 1x1 bricks = 112, antenna = 13, and tiles 2x2 = 22.

My 9th Model of the Lego Architecture range and my most favorite building in real life! I followed the construction of the real building from foundations to topping out. It took over 5 years to build and simply is one of the most amazing engineering achievements of the modern world today. I took just 25 minutes to build this, lots of small pieces which give this Lego building the exquisite detail of the real thing. I love the finished article and also love the way is goes together. The box and accompanying booklet are excellent quality. The booklet has all the mind blowing amazing facts of the real building as well as the build instructions. Great model overall - totally recommended!

This is obviously a very cool looking set but at the same time quite disappointing. Interestingly, I wrote to Lego almost a year ago to suggest that they add the Burj Khalifa to the Lego Architecture series so of course I was very excited when I found out it had finally come out as an official Lego set. I am a bit disappointed though. I was hoping for a challenging build, not a quick set that I would finish putting together in under 20 minutes. The build is interesting but it is extremely quick and very anti climatic. Before you know it, you are done. So if you're looking for a quick build that looks decent and recognizable, then this is the set for you. However, if, like me, you were looking for a large, imposing, and just really impressive set fitting for a building of the Burj Khalifa's stature, then you will find this a HUGE let down. I respect that Lego Architecture sets follow the "more is less" mentality, but there is a limit to that. Too often, these Lego Architecture sets (especially for the skyscrapers) are just too little. They are severely dumbed down versions of the real thing. My suggestion is to at least try to make future sets larger. I would happily pay over $100 for a set that will blow my mind, much as the real life versions would if you were to see them in person.

I'll start with the cons: The set is actually 10 inches tall and not 16 as the Lego description states. The light grey head shaped part is in the set 112 times. The build was extremely easy and took about 15 minutes which is odd considering that Lego rated it as ages 12+. The price isn't too bad, but 20 dollars would have been better. Now to the pros. There are no stickers and the part that says 'Burj Khalifa' is a printed element. Based upon pictures I have seen of the real thing, the design is very accurate. 10 inches is still quite tall for a 200 piece set, even if LEGO said it was 16. Overall, the set is good for an Architecture collector, and has a nice and accurate design.

This was my first set from the Architecture series. I bought it after having visited the Burj Khalifa. If you've been to the Khalifa, it's a must-have. The pieces are redundant but the building experience is much fun despite being short-lived. I display it on my desk at work and it's simply *great* for the purpose, as my co-workers have often attested. A couple things I think could be better: 1. The height of the tower isn't bad, but with the redundancy of the pieces and instructions, it would've been better had they just used some more of the same pieces to make it at least a couple inches taller. 2. The pieces are perhaps too bland. They're all gray, but some of them, especially those at certain level intervals, could've had a different lining (perhaps in gold?) on say a quarter of a cylindrical piece, across the horizontal layer for that interval. It would've added a bit more of a realistic touch to the tower and increased the build time of the set. Still, it's a good, solid set overall and is great for display purposes especially, as most if not all the sets in this series are. Can we get an Architecture series Eiffel Tower and CN Tower, please? Also for readers of the review, I hope you enjoy my attached pictures of the Lego sets and a full-sized version of the Lego Khalifa as displayed at the building in Dubai.

When I first saw this set on Lego I had to buy it. I had been saving my money for a new Architecture set for a while and was surprised that it only cost $25. It was worth it. So far it is the tallest Architecture set and, for its height, it was relatively easy to build. It mostly consists of round light grey pieces. It also has a cool shape. Pros Tall Easier to build than others Good price New strange base Cool shape Cons None Thanks for reading and I hope it helped. God loves you.

I have the Willis Tower and the Empire State building, and they are to scale with each other. However, I do not think the Burj Khalifa is. It is somewhat close, but I still think to truly be to scale it would have to be taller. This is a small gripe, since if it were made taller then it would cost more. It still looks very realistic. Since it is not to minifigure scale it has little playability, but that is what I expected.

This was a fine set for the price. I thought it was well worth the $25 and I enjoyed putting it together. I'm working my way through the entire Architecture line and, although I wasn't super impressed with this set, I still enjoyed putting it together. Just a side note, it's not the most secure set in the series. If you move your buildings to dust/clean, be careful with this one.
