i love this color

(1 photo) right after dying my hair, and (2 photo) after FIRST wash. The color is amazing, its just what I wanted for a long time, but this will not last long, which is a very big minus. I dyed my hair with temporary hair dye (it was actual dye, not spray or crayons), and the color was straight on my hair for two WEEKS. I will dye my hair again with this color, because I cant walk on the streets like this.

The worst pastel hair color

I bought a L'Oreal Feria Smokey Pastel Blue box dye kit about two days ago and applied it later that same night. The color I got turned out way darker than I anticipated it would've/should've been. Definitely not  the color I was going for.  The shimmer is really good and it didn't fry my hair.  I've washed it three times and it's slowly washing out and I'm hoping it'll fade to what it's meant to look like.

First time trying this brand.  NOT AGAIN!  Wanted the beautiful auburn of R68.  I was already red, with some growth, but not out of the color family.  Does this look like Rich Auburn?  No. Ruby Red?  How do you go from Auburn to Ruby Red?  This was so embarrassing. 13 shampoos later, still bleeding color. Not even a consistent color.  Uneven all over the back. I have been coloring for years, and red for about 2.  Hmmm. Want the color, but not the fake.  Not again!!!  Back to what I was doing.

I'm a mermaid!!!

Let me start off by saying that the color that I started with is a very pale yellow/platinum blonde that hadn't been washed in about 3 days (my hair doesn't take dye unless it's fairly disgusting, lol). My hair isn't too thick, but it isn't thin, and slightly shorter than halfway down my back. I WOULD recommend Loreal and Feria to a friend, just... definitely NOT their smokey pastels.

This is the THIRD time I've used two colors from the Feria Smokey Pastel line. Silly me for being stubborn and not believing other reviews (because I totally haven't been doing this for years or anything...), and my need to try things for myself. I had used both lavender and pink before, and BOTH times, the color took to the top half of my head during an all-over application, but not the bottom half...? I had previously used Feria Platinum Blonde lightening kit to lighten my hair to a bleached, almost white-blonde, so the fact that it didn't take allllll the way didn't bother me *too* much... Almost like an accidental ombre.

This time I (mistakenly) thought, "Since I'm doing split hair color of lavender and pink, I'll be using the WHOLE box on only one half of my head! Surely the color will take now,  right?!"

Wrong. Uh-uh. For one, according to Feria, "pastel pink" translates to a sort of rose gold, or coral. CORAL! I dyed one half of my head CORAL. Rinsed. Dried. Coral as heck, didn't even take to the lengths. Should have expected that. Whatever... I proceeded to dye the other half with the smokey lavender and, lo and behold, that didn't take to the lengths either. Surprise! To rinse the lavender I just took a full shower, and, well... Now I have even less gross-coral than I had before. Now, the lavender color is actually lavender... ish. A very light, almost silvery lavender (which is why I like it), but it once again came out very blotchy, despite using an entire box on only half of my head.

...Needless to say, I think I learned my lesson this time. I have a show to attend on Saturday (it's now 12 AM Thursday). My hair is clean, horrible looking, and won't be dirty again until at least Saturday... which means that I can't even fix this unless I grab some Punky Colours, dilute it, and pray for the best. I paid about $22 for this for absolutely no reason or result and now how to spend even more to *attempt* to fix it. Don't waste your money, time, and effort -- and for gods sake PLEASE don't be stubborn like I was and ignore all of these awful reviews, because you're gonna regret it.

The Smokey Pastel line should just be discontinued

I bleached my hair until it was light enough to dye it a color. Once I dyed my hair the smokey pink, it was more of a rose gold/light pink finish. It wasnt bad, I actually really liked it, if it weren't for the fact that it all washed out on my second wash and I am now back to blonde.

Where did the color go?

I bought this 4 days ago. I have long light blonde hair and have dyed my hair only 3 times in my life. I chose this color for Halloween. I followed the directions and actually waited 30 min instead of 20 min before washing it out. Some parts show a greyish blue and the rest is my natural color. In the parts that worked you can see a light blue color but I am still blonde. I was so dissapointed because I was looking forward to dyeing my hair smokey blue for Halloween and it did not work.

I bought the smokey lavender i have light blond hair so i thought it would take dark in my hair and its barely noticeable i did the bottom half and no one notice so i am disappointed i was so excited to do this
