True to size based on comparison to dog sweaters in same size. Like the reversible style and easy to put on dog because of straps instead putting paws through holes. Bought the red one in addition to pink style. Note that on the fabric side that styles in dark colors may show lint picked up but not a dealbreaker. For reference XL fits ~30-35lb Aussiedoodle

My sweet Nala girl is an interesting combination of Boston Terrier, boxer, and pittie. Which means she has a large chest and a thick neck. I bought the X-large to make sure she would have a bit of growing room. It fits great. The product is well made. The extra wide Velcro straps make it easy to put on; even if your sweetie is squirmy. I'm confident that this jacket will keep her warmer and drier on our winter walks. I am a current Walmart employee and I do almost all my shopping on-line.
