Since my husband I both are into upcycling and repurposing things (mostly wood items), we decided to give the Kreg Jig K5 Master System a try for some simple at-home projects. For our first project, we chose to use pallets. The pallet boards were cut to size and lined up together to make a mock canvas frame that was intended for painting on. With the help of the auto-adjust clamp included in this set, holding the boards together and adding the pockets holes to the back of the frame was exceptionally fast and easy to do. And it sure beat trying to force screws into the wood the old-fashioned way. *See attached pictures.
There are many projects that the Kreg Jig K5 Master System is capable of doing and can make simple tasks even simpler. Since the Master System is also portable, it is easy to move to other areas as needed when doing projects around the garage.
The kit includes Kreg Jig K5, extension wings with storage, adjustable work piece stop, stop-collar setting block, stepped drill bit & 6” square drive bit, screw selection chart, starter screw & plug set, wood project clamp with Automaxx (3” reach), and portable base. The system also comes with downloadable project plans.
