OMG, this is so good. Has a lot of sodium though. I try to dilute the sodium by mixing it with the addition of minute, brown/red/wild mix which has no sodium.

This side dish goes well with baked chicken and vegetables on the side. The only thing is that the instructions says use 2 cups of water simmer and stir occasionally but this is not enough you have to add at lease another half cup of water so that the rice can cook. You must use a non-stick pan, further more you can make a one dish meal by adding chicken and vegetables to it. This is great you'll love it.
If your weight is a problem, keep in mind this is a starchy food with high carbs. On the plus side, pour into small bowl, cover with water, microwave for 6 minutes, let stand while remaining water is soaked up, stir and eat. Seasoning is relatively mild, but tasty, so, it's suitable for all ages.
