I have been making meals for family and could spend a half day chopping/dicing vegetables for the week. This blade cut the time down to less than an hour and dices great! Uniformed pieces are just so appealing....... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Bought this attachment for my stand mixer after seeing that it had the dicing blade with it. I'm constantly cooking, and one thing I hate is chopping onions. (It looks like I cried for days afterwards!) I tried all the blades, but by far, my favourite is the dicing option. I have diced onions (the attachment is worth the price alone, if it only did that!) celery, carrots, red peppers, and even mushrooms so far. The mushrooms were a little harder to clean out of the grate part that they get pushed through, but it did come clean with a little trick I use with odd stuff for the kitchen. I buy a hard toothbrush for cleaning certain things in the kitchen, and it works great for this dicing blade as well. I did get a little orange staining from the carrots on the one part of the attachment that you put in first before the blades that is white... wish they made those parts black to hide staining, ‘cause that's a pet peeve of mine. Nothing a dab of bleach then soap and water can't take care of though! I've used this attachment everyday since I got it, and I have no real complaints so far other than it staining a bit on those parts, but that's just esthetic in appearance and has nothing to do with performance. I love this attachment, but mostly the dicer. I have a standard food processor, but since I bought this one with the dicer, I use this more. Note that you cannot purée etc with this attachment though! To me, it's worth every penny. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Where Have You Been All my Life?
I love cooking and never owned a kitchenaid mixer until about 3 months ago. After purchasing a kitchenaid mixer, I started looking into attachments. I talk about kitchenaid as though it's a new friend. My Social media family and Everyone around me knows how excited I am about my new Kitchenaid mixer. I even influenced two of my friends to go out and purchase one! My phone conversations became all things Kitchenaid! I have talked about Kitchenaid so much until A friend of mine decided to bless my life by buying me the food processor! I can't believe how much I love this item. It has made my cooking so much easier. And has taken my recipes to a new level. I am actually looking for ways to use it. I love how sturdy dependable and easy to use the food processor is. Thanks Kitchenaid, I am grateful to have you in my life! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Wish the Opening Was Larger
I love using this to slice and dice; my family laughs at how excited I get to pull it out and dice things. It's fairly easy to clean, and not hard to figure out how to use.
My only complaint is the size of the intake tube. I have to pre-cut things like potatoes or onions, which kinda defeats the point of having something to chop it for me and means I can't use it to make things like chips or anything requiring a full-sized slice.
I received this as a Christmas gift to help with some recipes I wanted to try. I get a little frustrated because when I am using the attachments I still get some of my foods not shredded or diced the way I was expecting. But I am still enjoying it because it beats doing it the manual way which I still tend to do on occasion depending what perfection I am in the mood for. It is easy to use, I still read the directions to make sure I put it together properly. Sometimes though I am afraid that I will get food on the part that isn't submersible in water and that makes me nervous.
Should be built with better materials.
Purchased a year or so ago and while it has performed as expected the casing isn't up to par. With minimal use (approximately 5-10 uses shredding cheese) the body has a major crack in the side. I've followed all the directions for use, cleaning, and storage to ensure the value of my purchase made worthwhile. I wouldn't recommend buying one until the issue is resolved (I've seen a few similar posts) or they offer a model with a complete metal housing.
Great Idea, Poor execution.
Great Idea and actually a good design but it does not perform as well as I expected. The dial on the side to adjust thickness is a great feature. This does work, however it requires taking it apart and clearing out the disk for the dicer after every vegetable (I tried with onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños) the dicer gets clogged with the skins. I only used the dicing blade. I like the way it will just drop your results into a bowl of your choice as this makes it easier to do large quantities, but constantly having to take the top off, clean the dicing disk, etc. just proved too much work.
Not as good as a countertop unit
Bought this & spirilizer for my wife. I used it to make sure it would do what she needs.(she is a baker & cook). Sliced potatoes into hash browns to see how it would perform. Was very disappointed. This processor cannot be used for anything liquid either. If you wanted to make a simple gram cracker crust (by pulverizing grams), you could not do it. Unit has good power & I can see usefulness in some areas. It's more of a slicer than a processor. Spirilizer is great.
Bought the attachment in June it didn't work with my original stand mixer which was 20 years old so I bought a new one and it still does not work. kitchenaide customer service seems to be ignoring me.
