Kingsford Charcoal Briquets, 2 Pack of 13.90 lb Bags:
    • Ready to cook on in about 15 minutes
    • Lights 25 percent faster and lasts longer compared to other brands
    • Sure Fire Grooves have edges for quick, easy lighting
    • Made from natural ingredients and real wood

Arrange briquets in a pyramid at the bottom of the grill. Pour approximately 2 oz. of Kingsford Lighter Fluid over the top of the stack of briquets and carefully light with a match. You've added enough lighter fluid when briquets appear glossy. When coals are ready for cooking, spread them in a single layer or bank them, set the grilling grid in place and put on the food. Briquets are ready for grilling when they are at least 70 percent covered with ash and have a slight red glow. This takes about 15 minutes.
Never use gasoline to light charcoal; do not add lighter fluid directly to burning or hot charcoal. Make sure ashes are cold before discarding. Never burn charcoal inside homes, vehicles, or tents (burning charcoal gives off carbon monoxide, which has no odor). Barbecue away from flammable items, overhangs, and trees. Store briquets in a cool, dry place. Prop 65 warning: combustion (burning) of this product, like other cooking methods, produces carbon monoxide and other substances known by the state of california to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm.

    What happened to your charcoal
I've used Kingsford charcoal for 45 years. This so-called original is garage. Enough with the useless different branding. This product doesn't burn the same. Doesn't last the same. Its obvious your marketing department has taken over the brand. And profit is the only motivation. Bring back the old charcoal.

    Kingsford is the best

It's the only thing I use in old Henry's bbq team smoker! Or if I'm grilling on the Bubba grill or just cooking for hubby on the small grill. I try to keep stocked up you see it's the best

    The Only Charcoal I Use

I have a Santa Maria grill which I use weekly. I tried lump charcoal, but that burned so quickly that I couldn't maintain heat for long periods of time. I first bought Kingsford in a two-bag wrapper at Home Depot two years ago. It lights quickly and sustains a burn for hours, just what I need when I lay wood on it for my barbecues. Kingsford is the only product I'll ever use now.

    Kingsford is King!

I've tried the other brands. I thought I could save a little money. Big mistake. You get what you pay for, and Kingsford is the best. They light the best and burns the longest. No competition. My advice is to stock up on the 40 lb. twin pack when they go on sale for $9.99 at the big box home improvement stores.

    Curious I am

The argument can be made that everything on Earth is "natural". So I would like to know what the ingredients are in your Original Charcoal that is not wood? I cook with this stuff and have enjoyed it immensely. That being said, it is in my food and I believe we should be informed as to what we are eating. Thank you
