Ive been eyeing this grill for a month.. Debating over this or a Weber One Touch.. I just know i wanted something good and will last a long time.. I was shopping in Wal-Mart one day and slid over to the BBQ section.. And this grill had sumthing.. It looked fancy, but not too much.. It had all the looks of a expensive grill.. But not the cost.. Well I wanted to purchase it, on this day only to find out.. It was out of stock online and in store.. So I waited a extra week.. Not rushing to get any grill.. They had it on this day.. Purchased it, headed home.. Then preceded to put it together.. Which you have to make sure your in a nice size room.. To make sure you spread all the parts out, for proper assembly.. If your not in a nice size room, you will go nuts.. Because the parts seem to never stop and theres only illustrations for most of them.. Its no problem for me, but alot of people rely on Alphabet or number coding.. the screws are thankfully.. To mkae this short, it took around 2 and a half hours by myself making sure everything was tight, and hopefully no need for tightning soon.. I put it together, grilled on it the next day.. I gotta say im more than impressed.. I did have a few issues however.. The ash pan was a little dented, and also on the top handle.. It seems the screws werent big enough and you open it a couple time.. The screws go right thru the metal.. The ash pan was no problem, it was easy to starighten out.. The handle was easy also.. I just added washers to the screws and now its no problem.. I would like this grill even if i paid the $125 its listed as in most places.. Affordable and Stylish !!!!!

The grill itself has great potential and many wonderful features. Unfortunately, Mine came with areas on the hood where the welding is broken, areas are dinged and bent out of shape from what I assume to be shipping abuse, and so now the lid does not sit right. I didn't want to go thru the hassle of taking it back and packing it up and so forth so I'm just dealing, but I will be contacting Wal Mart directly in regards to this.

The Kingsford BB02231G 24" Charcoal Grill is a great value. I bought it early in the spring when Walmart gears up for summer and paid only $89.00. I took my time assembling it ... a few hours ... because I took pictures for a time-lapse video of the process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVQ5LbsCCbg For a value-priced grill, this has a number of important features: Adjustable temperature (the coal bed can be raised an lowered with a crank) Built-in thermometer Slide out ash tray Portable (wheels and a handle) Fold out side tray work space Several hooks for grilling tools Four adjustable air flow vents I rated only 4 out of 5 starts because the sheet metal strikes me as a little flimsy and so, while I have gotten a great, heavy use season out of it, I question the long-term durability ... but then for the low price, that may be an acceptable trade-off. While I might be disappointed if it lasts only one season, I would be happy if it lasted two, and I would buy another at that point.

I purchased this grill last weekend. It was very easy to assemble though the instructions contain pictures only and no actual written procedures. It took me about 1.5 hours to assemble it by myself while throwing back a few cold ones. I wasn't sure about a Kingsford grill as most sites always reference Weber and Char-broil. I can say I'm very happy with this purchase and think it is worth more than the actual cost. The grill is very sturdy and well made. The only plastic parts are the feet and wheels; everything else is metal. I really wanted a grill with an adjustable tray so I have even more control over the heat and this grill fits the bill. It even has a bottle opener for those beverages that don't have twist off caps. It will easily hold 12, 1/4lb burgers. I guess the only cons would be not having a shelf on the left side, a brush to help clean up ash, and a cover. I’d definitely suggest using a power drill and you’ll also need a socket set for some nuts. I guess now I just wait and see how it holds up over time.

  • A. the box says you need a phillips screwdriver, a pair of pliers, and an adjustable wrench. I used a socket set with an 4" extender and a 3/16"box wrenth to keep the nut from spinning. I also used an electric screwdriver with a 4" phillips bit. Goes pretty quick!

  • A. Yes it does and it is pre-mounted in the lid. However, if you want the temperature of the meat you are cooking, get a high-temp remote probe electronic thermometer. Slide the probe into the meat and cook until the desired doneness is reached. Don't forget to lift the lid occasionally to ensure you steak's not on fire!
