As a Mom on a budget and student loans to pay, I wanted to try this thing out. Hoping to find value in the adjustable feature of this scooter and compare it to the amazon cousin with a little more $. I bought this for my 2 year old for christmas. my 5 year old got a different brand one for his birthday. Unfortunately my findings came to this: - The material is downright cheap and flimsy. The thickness of its competitors are nearly twice as much. -the ajdustable portion (that had me for the value idea or lasting a little longer than a summer), was kind of scary. I was worried it never really locked quite so securely in place - The wheels roll, but again they are much thinner and obviously flimsy...this feature along makes me realize I will be looking for a replacement fo this scooter shortly with how much we scooter around the neighborhood. Pros: It is adjustable It will work So, just don't go into buying this item thinking that you outsmarted the theory "you get what you pay for". Ultimately, you won't.
Save your money as they do not last with normal use. Bought 3 of these and they were all broken within a month. They are cheap and flimsy. Even with a 35lbs girl standing on it the plastic dips down. It feels even less stable When adjusting the handle bars taller. The first thing to break on all 3 of them were the brakes and then down hill from that
I bought this scooter for my 40 pound 4 year old. At first he loved it! He was zooming all around the neighborhood and really liked the lean to steer feature. Then one day, he went over a small crack in the sidewalk (really nothing of consequence) and he broke the scooter in half and went flying off of it. Luckily, apart from a few road rashes, he was ok. The same can not be said of the scooter. On examination, there is a weak point in the base, which made it relatively easy to break. Do yourself and your child a favor and purchase a more expensive, better made model.
These scooters are not wroth 18 dollars first of all they are refurbished with new stickers on top of old ones. they replace the wheels to make it look new and i bet you will find old scratches all over the bottom on the cheap plastic red piece and the iron as well because i did. This cooter is also very dangerous for small kids because they have to lean to the side to turn which makes the whole scooter flip over. This scooter is so light weight that it flips over soon as you try to turn the wheel and if you don't believe me just buy it and you will see for yourself!
